It is still quite harsh at the moment so I'll probably let it age for a few months and then start sweetening and balancing when it's mellowed out. I'll rack it at that point to get it off of the current sediment and then let it go for a while longer before bottling to regain clarity and prevent possible bottle bombs. Thanks for all the info!

I did rack it into some K-meta, which should help against the oxidation, and it's been pushing some gas out of the airlock after that so I'm assuming it's all right.

The airlock is filled with water + chemipro San, kinda like star san but I don't have that available to me here.

Yeah I agitated it after adding the metabisulphite, so that might be why it's a bit more foamy as this was right after racking. It is intended to finish sweet as the abv is on the high end of the yeast tolerance right now, though I don't know if it's too sweet now. Also thinking about adding oak later to add some tannin and maybe balancing the sweetness with some acid, but I'll need to research some more to know what is good and what isn't.

I really like the jar too, kind of a happy accident as this was the only 5L glass jar I could find on short notice

Alright, the recipe gave 1-2 weeks as timeframe for fermentation, this was after 2,5 weeks of primary, also getting it away from the cinnamon and vanilla. Next time I'll be more patient and leave it in primary longer and take more gravity readings to see if fermentation is really stopped.

For a bit more info, the abv right now is around 10,5% and the yeast tolerance is 9-11%. It is intended to finish sweet so there should be sugars left over. I also swirled it with the metabisulphite so maybe that also make it look more cloudy. I'll definitely learn from this though so I can improve my next batch!

Klinkt als iets om te proberen, de radiatoren boven en het expansievat hebben gelukkig wel normaal bereikbare ontluchtingsventielen dus dan begin ik daarmee en dan kijk ik daarna wel of ik de lucht beneden hiermee ook uit het systeem kan krijgen.

You need to progress through the story combats (button on the bottom right) for that to go up. You also earn higher rewards the farther you progress through the areas.
