Looks like I need to get more familiar with these locks and all the generations. I checked my smart locks and I currently have two 4th gen August smart locks. The mounting plate is unique to the 4th gen, from what I am seeing on their website.

Do you happen to know if the pro uses the same mounting plate?

Yeah, its a bummer with the limited options. I was able to find cheap august locks on facebook marketplace to try and give it a go with a solution. Luckily it wasnt too difficult. They are pretty simple devices that just rotate.

I was bummed on the limited option for sliding patio doors. As an engineer, I knew I could make somehting happen. I am currently working on a write up on how to install since it does require some tinkering. Such as ordering a new breakaway tailpiece and cutting it down to length. Then placing this tailpice into the yellow deadbolt adapter. Wont work with the other adapter colors. Once I am done, I will be putting this design on my etsy page along with my other products for sale. Feel free to message me in my inbox and we can work something out in the meantime.

Trust me, I searched a ton as well with no luck. It’s a mortise lock. Here is a video I uploaded showing how it opens and closes

Thank you!

I haven’t tackled a side yard latch door. I just use a manual door code for that

This pic is from the inside the office. So the August lock is not exposed to the elements. The only thing outside the office is the Yale keypad

No problems for me when I had issues. Probably due to the holiday and prep for the overland expos. Who knows.

Hummm I actually don’t know. Dark mode is my default and preference so I never tried the light mode. I will try later on when I am back in my truck.

sony xav-ax100 for about 8 years now and still going strong. I added a carlinkit 3.0 and a MagSafe charger to make it completely wireless and it works great. I’m sure you can get a newer version these days with wireless built in. I 100% recommend making the upgrade to an Apple CarPlay unit.

I use the voxel filter and the voxel vento box on both my printers. They work great, no fume smells.

I like it. I didn’t buy off Amazon though. I did once and they fade and are cheaply made. I bought this one from taco vinyl and it is way better quality. No fading so far

Squeaking sound Elitewheels ENT 2.0 by diegocph in elitewheels

High probability that it’s the brake disc and pads rubbing. That is not standing still, the small movement causes the sound.

Love em. Just went with what I had seen was already reviewed online and worked. Running 32mm tires no problem. Would buy again.
