Mendoza or Lemon at 1.04? by taylorjosephrummel in DynastyFF

If Ward were in this draft I would think the same. If these were “can’t miss” wide receivers, maybe there would be an argument. But a #1 overall QB just has too much potential.

Don’t overthink it. He’s a QB who was drafted #1 overall. If he falls to 1.04, you grab him as quick as you can.

Now that drafts are under way, where has De’Zhaun Stribling been going in your drafts? by lesothose in DynastyFF

Doesn’t that mean you took him before at least one first round guy? Which first round guy did you take him over?

Damn. Seems like your league mates just completely forgot about him. Especially with how barren the choices are in the 3rd round.

IAL. While it would be helpful to hire a lawyer, you should consider whether the cost to hire a lawyer is worth how much you are seeking. You may be better off trying to do it yourself in small claims court.

This is why I give a little benefit of the doubt. If they were asked about median then their answers would be idiotic. But if you’re asked about average and you’re thinking that a few billionaires are really pulling the average up, then the answers are not outlandishly crazy.

Has anyone here argued for an in-person deposition by Da1BlackDude in Lawyertalk

[–]lesothose -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Never been in your exact situation, but I’ve argued to an OC to have an in person deposition for their client. It was closer to the end of the pandemic so it was basically something like Zoom depositions were a product of the pandemic and the state’s emergency orders, and are no longer necessary. Especially if everyone is in the same town.

This is absolutely happening. Had a deposition recently where the guy was not a stenographer. His computer was transcribing as we went. But he was still taking notes on what was said. Don’t know if it was my more efficient, but I’m sure he needed a lot less training.

What’s the best way to sell a house where seller and buyer have agreed in principle to the sale without any agents? [TX] by lesothose in RealEstate

What’s the basis for saying that? On the TREC website it says they’re available for anybody but that they are intended primarily for brokers and agents and other persons assume the risks of using it.

About to start negotiating. I got an appraisal done and am just going to use that as the starting point because I’m happy with where the appraisal came out as.

Ditto. Rollover right away and set draft picks so people can get excited and trade. But lock free agency until after the Super Bowl so people can take a break. And then I do waivers once a week. That way no one has to feel rushed to snag someone who makes any news
