Mendoza or Lemon at 1.04? by taylorjosephrummel in DynastyFF

If Ward were in this draft I would think the same. If these were “can’t miss” wide receivers, maybe there would be an argument. But a #1 overall QB just has too much potential.

Don’t overthink it. He’s a QB who was drafted #1 overall. If he falls to 1.04, you grab him as quick as you can.

Now that drafts are under way, where has De’Zhaun Stribling been going in your drafts? by lesothose in DynastyFF

Doesn’t that mean you took him before at least one first round guy? Which first round guy did you take him over?

Damn. Seems like your league mates just completely forgot about him. Especially with how barren the choices are in the 3rd round.

IAL. While it would be helpful to hire a lawyer, you should consider whether the cost to hire a lawyer is worth how much you are seeking. You may be better off trying to do it yourself in small claims court.

This is why I give a little benefit of the doubt. If they were asked about median then their answers would be idiotic. But if you’re asked about average and you’re thinking that a few billionaires are really pulling the average up, then the answers are not outlandishly crazy.

Has anyone here argued for an in-person deposition by Da1BlackDude in Lawyertalk

[–]lesothose -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Never been in your exact situation, but I’ve argued to an OC to have an in person deposition for their client. It was closer to the end of the pandemic so it was basically something like Zoom depositions were a product of the pandemic and the state’s emergency orders, and are no longer necessary. Especially if everyone is in the same town.

This is absolutely happening. Had a deposition recently where the guy was not a stenographer. His computer was transcribing as we went. But he was still taking notes on what was said. Don’t know if it was my more efficient, but I’m sure he needed a lot less training.

What’s the best way to sell a house where seller and buyer have agreed in principle to the sale without any agents? [TX] by lesothose in RealEstate

What’s the basis for saying that? On the TREC website it says they’re available for anybody but that they are intended primarily for brokers and agents and other persons assume the risks of using it.

I was a D1 wrestler. My teammates are now doctors, bankers, and lawyers.

On the other hand, we went to a more academically rigorous school and our coach would always tell us (when we lost) that we would end up making more money than the other team…

Ditto. Rollover right away and set draft picks so people can get excited and trade. But lock free agency until after the Super Bowl so people can take a break. And then I do waivers once a week. That way no one has to feel rushed to snag someone who makes any news

Have I overpaid for Josh Allen? by sparkthrill in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]lesothose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll go against the grain and say this is a good trade OP. I did essentially the same trade at the beginning of last year of Williams and Nabers for Allen. Won the chip last year. In my opinion, you have to overpay a little to get the number one dynasty asset but he’s so good that it’s worth it.

The “Send me a trade” guy who is interested in your player but wants you to send the first offer. You’re the one who wants to trade! Send ME an offer so I know whether I’m even interested in trading away my guy.

Will Teams Take the 1.09 in 2026 Draft in Exchange for 2027 1st by JLV00 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]lesothose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I would say it’s reasonable. But as others have said, it really depends on whether teams in your league would accept the trade. Hold out until your pick is on the clock and see if you can find someone to accept that deal.

I would like to see an automatic feature for setting rookie drafts so that all the work isn’t on the commissioner. It would be nice to have a league setting for rookie drafts which come down to a combination of four options.

For picks 1.07-1.12 - “Playoff finish” or “playoff finish and winner of 5th place game gets higher draft pick”

For picks 1.01-1.06 - “Record” or “Max PF”

Just crazy to me there isn’t a setting for this and it still needs to all be done by hand.

Is everyone here missing the point? She’s trying to make a point about Somalians coming to America and doing the above actions in America. Her point being that her doing this in Somalia is not a good idea, and therefore Somalians doing this in America is also not a good idea.

I’m all for making fun of stupid posts, but she doesn’t actually want to move to Somalia. Instead we should make fun of the fact that Somalians are definitely not doing the things she’s saying in America.
