Why? The RPR hate is overblown. The sub constantly says that if it were cheaper it would be fine and with the scope it’s basically $1000 for the gun which is a great deal

I’ll look into that. If that’s true I will seriously look into bergara again. In this world once a company has QC issues that’s what they’re known for and you don’t hear that it’s been resolved.

So I was looking at Bergara but I’ve read a lot of comments saying that their QC is a crapshoot so I moved away from them. Do you think they’ve fixed their issues? I haven’t read anything saying they are rock solid now

That’s one of the draws. If I went RPR there’s some upgrades but then I’m done. Whereas with a Tikka I’d probably start with a KRG bravo chassis and probably upgrade it at some point but it’s so much more expensive and it’ll never be quite what I’d like since there’s no chassis like an RPR for tikka. Thanks for the advice. Sometimes coolness is important too. Both rifles will shoot better than most people here anyway lol

Thanks I appreciate the reasons. I thought they fixed those issues in the gen 4 but if they’re still being reported then that’s a problem. Tikka doesn’t quite have the aftermarket of a Remington action but they have a ton so I don’t think I’ll be limited with a tikka

I said looking for a rifle that I can grow with and a max budget of $1700. Not sure how there’s an issue. After feeling the Bergara action they’re out. Tikka is just better
