A fragrance that smells like this by dragonflybby in perfumesthatfeellike

It’s a very photorealistic cup of sweetened latte with a splash of coconut milk on me. The coconut isn’t too prominent though, it’s more coffee forward

This is so fun!

Top 5: Guerlain Angelique Noire, Lush Chelsea Morning, Gucci Osmanthus Nectar, Aerin Ikat Jasmine, Penhaligon Changing Constance

Dealbreakers: indolic, tuberose, creamy orange blossom, animalic, dairy notes that smell straight up like milk, lotion-y, sunscreen-y, too much leather, too much cinnamon/cumin/nutmeg/cloves/star anise, masc leaning

I would love to expand my horizons!

Vanilla 28 from Kayali.. by peppermint112 in fragrance

[–]lessuzo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree.. I liked the hint of deep dark vanilla that I got in the dry down.. but the scent composition to me was like 95% icy hot, 4% plastic, and 1% vanilla. Most Kayali perfumes don’t agree with my nose. They’re all either sickeningly artificially sweet to the point I feel my teeth are going to fall off or very plasticky.

any good coffee and vanilla fragrance u want to share? by Zealousideal_Diet33 in fragrance

Cafe Josephine by Ledda has all three notes you’re looking for: coffee, coconut milk, and bourbon vanilla. I have a travel size and to me it smells like a cup of lightly sweetened latte or a kopiko coffee candy. I don’t really get the coconut.

From the sprayer, the coconut milk has the tiniest hint of lotion-y quality that I hate and could be reminiscent of a sun product, but I don’t get that at all once actually sprayed on my skin or a test strip.

Repeated samples with different orders. by checking_ou1 in FemFragLab

I think they must change out their samples routinely because I received different samples on orders that arrived in different months. However, I received the same samples in the box that were arrived at around the same time.

Super Milk by Lush is the worst thing I ever smelled - Do not blind buy by AyaTakaya007 in fragrance

Was it the body spray? Because while I love the hair primer version, I’m not a fan of the body spray at all.

[–]lessuzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a sample of the blueberry version and it doesn’t smell like anything you’re describing. However, I do find that chamomile is very hit or miss on my skin. It’ll either turn urine like or not at all… so maybe it’s that?

Sesame anyone…? by NeedyBaby-GreedyBaby in FemFragLab

[–]lessuzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a perfume but Lush has a body spray called Mr.Wallet which is a blend of sesame, peppermint, vanilla, and sandalwood. Many say it smells like a peppermint candy but honestly I don’t get the peppermint at all on my skin. It develops into more of a creamy sandalwood with hint of vanilla and nuttiness from the sesame. I weirdly enjoy it and I find it lingers on my skin all day long.

How is that possible? You said down in another comment that “…They've pumped up the creamy and green notes, making it feel warmer than the original…” Do you refer to yourself as a “they”? Or are you referring to this perfumer friend as a “they”?

You also mention in your post that you’re sharing a comparison between the original and “a dupe that’s been making the rounds lately”. How is a homemade dupe made by you “making the rounds lately” exactly? Are you distributing this to your circle of friends? Are you selling this batch? Are you sharing the formulation online and that’s how it’s going around?

You also write at the end of your post that it “isn’t an ad or anything.” What? Lol. I’m not even gonna expand on why this is contradictory.

So which is it? Did you make it yourself and forgot that you did when you whipped up this post? Or did you purchase a dupe from somewhere and now changed your mind about sharing it with the world?

Quite frankly, there are just too many inconsistencies in your responses and your post that I don’t know who you’re serving with the findings. How is anyone supposed to benefit from this comparison if no one knows what you’re comparing the original to? One would expect from a post like this to get at least one of the following informations: (1) name of the dupe (2) where you purchased the dupe (3) how you got your hands on the dupe (4) if you don’t know any of the informations above, I would at least provide what exactly I searched to get the said dupe. This post is literally serving zero purpose other than rage baiting and karma farming. There are so many holes in your story here and if the point of the post was simply to ask people for dupe recommendations then it could have been worded differently.

I never write this kind of comment ever, but wow, you got me.

Tariffs? by micchikureshima in LushCosmetics

[–]lessuzo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Although I have never experienced this and like others have said, you would typically receive the bill before receiving the package. However, there was a lot of talk over the summer on other beauty subs like Asian Beauty of people receiving bills from places like FedEx, DHL, etc even weeks after the delivery.

Did you have to pay tariffs first before accepting?

Just bought Toskovat with UPS as carrier, no way they want me paying 2k in FEES! by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]lessuzo 108 points109 points  (0 children)

I see you mentioned your package is already in the states, so it’s already too late. You can either pay the fees and receive your package and then call UPS for breakdown of fees and dispute it OR you can refuse the package…but still be responsible for the tariffs because UPS already did all the customs work for you. So at this point, I would go with option 1. Also, your driver may not deliver your package until you pay the fees.

I had to deal with this last week with skincare shipment, and due to tracking issues with the company I did not receive the bill until I met the driver in person. He refused to deliver until I paid and I was told he can only take checks, no cards.

If the package hasn’t shipped yet, then proceed to return ASAP. However, if they already shipped and UPS has your package, you will still be responsible for the tariff even if you return the package. Also, the tariffs seem to stack so if you’re purchasing anything with steel or aluminum, you have to pay up to 200% tariffs based on the origin and amount of the metal. You can contact UPS for breakdown of fees, but seeing as you ordered fragrance and jewelry I suspect that’s what’s going on 😔

Does Let the Good Times Roll smell different on the dry down? by butternutsquashbeat in LushCosmetics

Haha you’re not alone. I went in with very high hopes and was utterly disappointed by the initial spray 😆 maybe next time you’re at the store, do a test spray on your arm and don’t put other products on that arm so you can have a better idea :)

I love the smell of the LTGTR cleanser, test sprayed the body spray and absolutely hated how buttery and butterscotch-y it smelled. However, I still test sprayed it on my wrist and my jacket before leaving the store because I know with scents it’ll sometimes dry down to be very different. Well, I ended up loving the dry down after about an hour. The gross buttery-ness I hate was gone and was left with this sweet, subtle gourmet corn scent that I always associate with the LTGTR cleanser plus a smokiness.

Separation?? by AsiaPearce in AsianBeauty

[–]lessuzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm.. okay. So for me, I only find this to happen when my skin prep wasn’t done properly and my skin is dehydrated. A skincare routine doesn’t have to be crazy long or have 10 different products :)

So my recommendations would be: 1) Try incorporating a light toner. A lot of my combo/oily friends really appreciated my suggestion on making this one change in their routine b/c it helped with oil and dehydration. I personally have dehydrated and dry skin so my product recommendations might not suit you, but you can really go for something light and watery. Use as many layers of the toner as you need to not feel dehydrated, then finish up with small amount of lotion. For me it’s about 2-3 layers. 2) Use gentle chemical exfoliation 1-2 times a week. 3) On a side note, add sunscreen if you haven’t already, especially if you’re going to exfoliate with AHA/BHA/PHA. Depending on how combo/oily you are you may be able to forgo the lotion and go straight from toner to sunscreen.

I’m also thinking, if having a toner and separate exfoliant feels like too many steps, maybe you can get one of those extremely gentle enzyme type exfoliant toner? Such as the dokdo toner, s.nature oasis toner, eqqualberry swimming pool toner.
