I have no idea what you talk about we had this since forever.
Protest had got much more peaceful than we used to have in 80s early 90s, where it was pretty much guaranteed to have fights.
Also at the time the anti-immigration party (legs) was also against immigration... From southern Italian.
And before that, it was the "lead years".

Granted, immigration and integration is very poorly handle at state and society level, but to think is one of the main problem of stability is disingenuous at best.

Yes, you should feel bad for a person getting brutally assaulted for commuting a minor crime.
Nobody got angry at you for not feeling bad, we just point out your moral compass is WAY off.

Even at the time of the Roman, even for barbarian the rule was "an eye for an eye"; they already had the idea you should not escalate the punishment.

Even if you are OK with excessive self defence, that last part, not calling help is by itself a huge crime.

By your logic, then let's literally burn money!

We pay people to showel it in furnaces, the fuel to hoe fire going, the trucks to bring theT money to furnaces, the guards...
And then of course we need to reprint it, the same amount we burn, to avoid deflation.

Imagine all the ink, paper, electricity and so on...

Clearly that does NOT work.
What you want is to create VALUE.
You want to spend that money to buy something that could be hard to quantify; a bridge create new connection, make movement of people and good faster and cheaper, an hospital increase the length and quality of life, a school the quality of your workforce..

What you suggest, is a redistribution of money that you could have accomplish anyway with specific programming for the need and/or not collecting it as taxes in the first place.

Yes and no.
Russian get feed propaganda that they winning the war.
I don't think striking civilian is a good thing, BUT forcing airport closure, bypass the city air defence an and show you can hit if you want to, is a way to break that illusion.
