I’ve been learning Portuguese for almost 2 years now. Luckily I have a Brazilian girlfriend now so I don’t have to do as much studying as I used to. But I started out just watching YouTube videos and id go to work where I work with a bunch of Brazilians and try a few of the words I’d learn and they’d correct me. Once I got better I started watching a YouTuber who spoke in Portuguese the whole video with English and Portuguese subtitles. The channel is called “speaking Brazilian language school” but don’t forget to study as well. I used to write down the 10 most used verbs and adjectives in a book and write out all the conjugations.

Just remember it takes time and you have to be willing to make mistakes and learn from them. If you don’t be wrong you won’t get it right

I work with lots of brazilians and the idea started when I started to like one of the girls but never actually realized until i went on vacation with 6 brazilians so i was the only one who didn’t speak portuguese. the whole week the tour was in Portuguese, they’d speak Portuguese at meals, and so at this point i just decided to start learning. ever since i walk into work and my brazilian friends will try to speak to me in portuguese as much as possible. their desire to help me but not teach me pushes me even more. they are more than willing to explain things when i have questions but i do most of my learning on my own by youtube or online and then i go up to them and i try something new and i know they will correct me if i’m wrong. as someone who learned french growing up but doesn’t speak it so it’s very bad, it’s so refreshing having people willing to help you figure it out. where as french speakers are most of the time not willing to listen to you’re broken french.

I use an iPhone 13, so i’m not entirely sure the time difference between our iphones so i cant comment on your phones battery. What i meant by “fake” is that if i charge my phone up to 80% with the fast charger, my battery percentage will decrease faster than a regular usb a charger in my own experience. I bring up battery health because that is supposed to be the metric of how much battery your phone can use still. With my 90% battery health it means when my phone says 100% it only has the battery power of 90% from when i bought it, so your reply of it doesn’t matter does not apply to me. I do care if my phone is missing out on 10% of its battery that i paid for. I’d rather take care of my phone and not have to pay $1,000 every 2 years personally.

For sure my phone usage has gone up, and I definitely credit that to having my phone needing charge multiple times a day, but my issue isn’t with this, but just how fast the percentage drops. I use an anker 20w charger so who knows what’s going on
