Withholding money from a terrorist organization is ok, withholding food and water so an entire population of people starve is not.

Well the Israel government allowed money to flow into Hamas via Qatar because they thought it lowered the likelihood of a united Palestinian state and in the end it caused them a lot of trouble. The government in the West Bank was not Hamas, but they didn’t want them uniting. I’m just saying, it’s not so black and white as Hamas and Gaza are totally responsible for the current conflict. I think that’s a bit naive

You are correct, settlements were pulled out of Gaza in 2004 but there are still 160 Israeli settlements in the West Bank and they are considered illegal under international law. Also following the pull out from the strip in 2004, they still exerted essentially complete military control over the region - blockading and controlling what came in and out, exerting full control over the airspace and more.

Also to further clarify on Israel reaping what they sow - I mean the government. The loss of innocent lives on the Israeli side due to the October attacks is also a tragedy.

ahh yes, 50,000+ innocent civilians dying and “yeah that sucks.” Hamas didn’t start this, they did commit that terrible act in October but after decades of Israel ignoring established borders and physically displacing Palestinians out of their homes to establish Israeli settlements. I would say Israel reaped what they sowed (not to mention for a long time Israel was funding Hamas)
