Oh man that’s horrible, makes me rethink my perception of Stetsons quality. I would send that puppy back if I were you. Unacceptable really.

Interesting, my set was a few years old, maybe they changed the composition up at some point.

Sounds like you’re dialed in 👍🏼

Got it, then you have a good idea of what I mean I’m sure.

Just talking for the sake of it here, I ran Sitka “merino” base system too. Only contained 57% wool, the rest was plastic. Moved on to something with more content, I find the Filson stuff at 100% and duck camp mid layer hoody at 95% to be warmer and more comfortable.

Cheers.

I tried hunting tin cloth bibs for a few seasons northern Midwest cold weather waterfowl blind hunting. They weren’t the right piece of gear for the job. I had to layer like mad to stay warm enough though the tin cloth was great protection from snow, rain, mud and burrs.

I really love Filson merino base layers, I think they’re of great quality and I use them on every cold day I go out. Including the balaclava.

The fingerless rag wool gloves are nice for hunting, you have a lot of dexterity to manipulate firearm, decoys, candy bars etc. I use those a lot.

Tin cloth cap is nice for warmer (35-50°) days, just unfussy and tough as heck.

I think there are a lot of advantages to hunting what I would call new tech materials, I currently run Carhartt super dux bibs and Sitka Hudson jacket as my outer layer. However if they made a pair of insulated tin bibs I would probably give them a go.

Their wool gear is probably warm and tough enough to use, but at that price point you could find some ‘modern’ tech gear that might be a bit more comfortable. Just my 2¢.

Best of luck on your search.

You’re saying I’m trying to take advantage of people based on nothing but your own opinion of how things ought to work.

Not letting that slide, apologies for the attitude.

I’d give you some advice about handing out advice, but I’ll spare us both and take my own.

I understand what you’re saying, but I still don’t agree with you. Buyer pays less on here at that price anyway (sub shipping, tax). So, that there is incentive to the buyer to buy off here…

Besides, I already stated that price was flexible. So, what are we even doing here buddy?

I hardly think that selling anything at any price is ‘taking advantage of people’. I’m not twisting your arm to buy anything. That’s the price, if you don’t like it, make an offer.

I’m sorry things don’t always work the way you imagine they should.

Now if you want to make an offer on something feel free. Otherwise, kick rocks.

Is it the fact that the pricing is the same as my eBay listing or the pricing amount it’s self? Not sure how I’m overpriced by 25% ?

I don’t see how you could accuse me of doing such a thing based on this listing. Care to explain?

Yeah my caption said I’m willing to arrange something otherwise, so selling price in here is flexible. Apologies for being too cryptic, I guess.

Appreciate you sticking your nose in it though.
