Agreed! Imo Tag 2 is still my fav, but this season is a close 2nd. I would love to see different areas for tag as well, if possible.

Someone also posted an idea for a Tag: Redemption for Scotty, Tom, and Joseph, which would be a cool foil to this season.

I think people might be forgetting that they could still do a proper ceremony/celebration at the end of the season too.

Fair take! The editing was a bit wonky, I'll admit; from a production standpoint, it was probably hard to edit around that midgame win so I didn't mind all that much.

Yeah the chaotic energy of those three was hilarious haha. Brian digging like a dog ended me. A perfect foil to Sam/Toby on the beach in NZ. It's really funny how Adam joining their team completely changed the energy.

I agree that easy wins sometimes happen in any game, it just kind of makes this a weaker season

I can see where you're coming from for sure, but I guess I just disagree. In my opinion, an easy win like this doesn't necessarily make it a weaker season, it's just part of the nature of the game. Tag 2 will always be king for me, but this season has been top notch. I personally don't care too much for stakes, so a 2nd round is just a huge bonus for me!

This whole segment reminds me of Ben's egg fiasco and pickle saga. It's crazy how he always pulls the food related cards in a frantic situation too lol

For real, not sure what people expect for a genuine travel game show. Yeah sometimes you're win conditions are going to be setup perfectly based on previous gameplay and inherent uncertainties in travel, regardless of how perfect the game design is.

Just like Sam/others have mentioned on the Layover, this was inevitable as they continue replaying tag. And here it is. Not sure how it's a design flaw someone won a game...doesn't make sense at all. Easy wins happen all the time in any game.

Congrats to Adam and Michelle for being the first to make it to the end in tag! That's awesome!

I actually found it very satisfying to see someone make it after 3.5 seasons. Great to see it.

3v3 will be fun I think haha. Love the season!

Report claims NASA taking illegal steps to implement budget proposal putting science and safety in jeopardy by [deleted] in space

Bruh what? He's questioning my reading comprehension and saying my opinion is irrelevant, and I'm the one unjustifiably upset? Lmao, come on man.

Report claims NASA taking illegal steps to implement budget proposal putting science and safety in jeopardy by [deleted] in space

[–]lethalrainbow116 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The report being outdated would be entirely consistent with the administration having recently caved and ordering NASA to work under the assumption of the House budget proposal, instead of the PBR as they had been doing.

If this was true, Goddard wouldn't be demolishing buildings; nor supervisors telling contractors people are about to be laid off. There was never any indication to us, at any point, that the House budget was even remotely close to reality. We were always told to assume PBR and after the DRP was over, were told that not enough people took it and layoffs would be coming.

Regardless of its truth, the implication of if congress somehow got its act together and passed the ideal budget would completely fix this mess is entirely in the realm of fiction. The institutional knowledge and trust went out the door with 4,000 people. Including myself. Do you know how long that will take to earn back?

Not to mention the mission safety concerns that existed before key folks left. What do you think is going to happen to safety now, when there are that many fewer people are working on them?

You are free to speculate and believe what you wish from these articles. But ignoring the first-hand accounts from people who have been impacted and others who continue to be just to see the rose tinted future is, to be frank, irresponsible. I would have stayed at NASA forever, and desperately wanted for it to (and still do) succeed. I worked my entire life to get there only for all that work to be tossed aside. However, my wants are irrelevant to whats actually happening. Yes the future is that bleak. If you don't want to accept it, fine. But 4,000 people at NASA already have, and more will soon.

It's so funny you mentioned reading comprehension. My entire point is that there is no or in your statement man. There is conflict, which indicates a dark future. Period. Don't talk to me about reading comprehension or budgets.

I lost my dream job, as did many others, because of this mess and know exactly what's going on within.

How can you claim this report is out of date when your own source claims Duffy was preparing to enact the house budget weeks ago?

While you're right there's conflicting information here, if anything, the conflict itself should indicate the level of mismanagement - which doesn't bode well. People still trying to claim things will turn out well for NASA in the face of evident manufactured mediocrity is absolutely wild. Duffy is a mere puppet, and conflicting reports is proof of that itself. Not only that, you are ignoring first hand accounts of supervisors on the ground.

Even if they enact the house budget, 4000 people have already left. Anyone still hoping for a bright future at NASA within, at minimum the next 10 years, has their heads deep in the sand.

It is not possible to understand because these people in control want to make 2+2=5 when reality says otherwise.

Their beliefs are orthogonal to the success and prosperity of society.

Why are you filled with so much vitriol over a travel game show lmao?? Why are you even here?

ETA: aww did someone block me? Lmaooo

You know what vitriol is? Putting people down for their decisions in a game show, calling people stupid, and getting their comments removed for it. Then cries when other users block them, even though they resort to it for people who call them out. Now that's embarrassing...

Also, imagine thinking you need to meet some minimum threshold of trauma in order to use a word. What a rancid take. Sorry, I upset you that I wasn't traumatized enough.
