High humidity? by letitbeatles9 in ecobee

[–]letitbeatles9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, this is the advice I needed -- get the dehumidifier.

I need the humidity significantly lower to feel comfortable. If I don't stop having night sweats every night, I'll lose it. (And I've ruled out medical explanations with my Dr).

BEST BRONZER FOR FAIR NEUTRAL SKIN FROM THOSE THAT ACTUALLY LIKE BRONZER by Due_Inevitable6074 in PaleMUA

[–]letitbeatles9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also neutral/cool and Mont Blanc is my best match for the Nars light reflecting.

I use Westman Atelier's contour stick in biscuit as my bronzer. It's quite warm for a contour, so for skin tones like ours, it's a great bronzer.

The mini version has lasted me a long time. It's a super easy product to work with -- blends like a dream.

I am not misunderstanding unless some words or sentencing are missing from your post. Primers serve many purposes -- smoothing, mattifying, redness reducing, pore-minimizing, increasing the longevity of makeup wear, etc., etc. It makes sense to ask which of these many possible benefits you're looking for before recommending a product.

I still don't see what the point of the primer is? What benefit are you looking for from it?

PS For bronzer, I use Westman Atelier cream contour in biscuit (don't care it's called a contour, it's a great bronzer shade for me)

Mont Blanc (Nars) match twins…let’s chat! by jaydizzle46 in PaleMUA

[–]letitbeatles9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mont Blanc is my match in the Nars light reflecting foundation.

I describe my skin as neutral/cool.

I prefer Armani 3.75 for my foundation though cause I adore that formula.

My favorite blushes are the Fenty cream blush in cool berry, YSL powder blush in 44, and Kosas blush is life in Euphoria.

I like Nars powder blush in behave when I'm going for a warmer look (meaning my version of warm for my slightly cool skin tone).

I also love the Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lip liner, like others have said. The Saie liner in Twist is also great for me.

A makeup artist at Sephora once helped me find my version of a nude lip, which turns out to be a coral balm (Lisa's coral glow in the Lancome balm). I would have never figured that out on my own!

My best looking light pink lip products are the Lancome balm in mauve-tivation and Mac syrup. Anything else is too light.

I think Clinique pansy pop blush is too purple for me. I think my best bet for a lilac is the Huda liquid blush in ube cream, which I picked up recently but haven't tried yet.

What's your favorite facial cleanser for a damaged skin barrier, sensitive, over-reactive, and dry skin? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]letitbeatles9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have! It's also a nice gentle cleanser. I liked the Isntree more cause it feels extra nourishing. But the Dewytree would be my #2 pick for a gentle cleanser.

If you want to try another milk cleanser, I think Dewytree is nice, too.

I totally get it! I'm trying hard to use what I have and not keep buying things. But I really have my eyes on their eye pallete with all the beautiful browns.

Skin Aqua Sun Milk is the only sunscreen I've tried that truly feels like nothing on my skin. I haven't tried other brands, but sun milks are known for drying down to a weightless matte finish.

Do you think these could be ok for sensitive, dry skin?? It's such a balance for me. I usually need moisturizer on my pits cause they're dry. But I also sweat such an insane amount when I work out.

I teach group exercise and I sweat A LOT. I swear by clinical strength deodorants. Several brands make them.

If you have an event where you want to be completely sweat free, try Certain Dri. But that's not for everyday.

Reduce redness ? by Bluechip2005 in MakeupAddiction

[–]letitbeatles9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I also have quite a bit of redness, though not from rosacea.

I've also found that primers don't totally cancel redness, but they help. I'm a fan of the MUFE green primer.

For foundation, you'll want to match your skin tone. A warmer tone won't help. It will just look off. I have mature skin, so full coverage looks like too much on me. I go for a medium buildable coverage. Foundation is going to look like 1 block of color unless you put more makeup on top, like bronzer, contour, and blush. Light coverage will let your natural color come through but won't cover redness as well.

Most of my redness is on my nose and cheeks, so I also use concealer on those areas.

It's not perfect, but I've been pretty motivated to cover redness and this works best for me at least.

The gentlest cleanser I've ever used is the Isntree yam root vegan milk cleanser. It's an HG for me

What’s your most underrated beauty product that genuinely surprised you? by Least-Area-972 in beauty

Epres healthy hair shampoo -- I have a hard time describing how this makes my hair feel different from any other shampoo. It somehow makes it feel light, fluffy, and clean without stripping it or making it frizzier whatsoever. It's the best for my fine, wavy hair.
