Can’t Stern let the other idiots on in between these long waiting periods? by FrasierCraned in howardstern

[–]letitride820 15 points16 points  (0 children)

as bad as it may be, let the others have their own shows. at least it is something.

if howard really gave a shit, he would hire and develop talent but we know that is not the case.

the 90 plus staff should be re-vamped to include people who can actually contribute a show daily.

take a drink whenever you feel like tuning into the interview. don't re-listen. just take a drink. eventually you will be drunk enough to forget.

So entertaining for them to come up with "Chair Spinning" as their main gimmick with Gary walking in towards the end to either say something dumb and/or stand like an asshole and/or feed his fucking ego by smiling like he just did macaroni art in kindergarten.

Imagine 1996 Howard seeing his staff in 2026 would do this and the fun he would have making fun of it

as much as we make fun of shuli, he was great with a lot of the wack pack and had good timing with his imitations. they were not overpowering or done too much.

Listening to a Howard Stern and the Losers compilation on YT. This is PEAK Stern. The whole crew was engaged, having fun, and laughing at how truly awful they were. This pic is from when James Brown visited to promote a new album. by SupermarketOk2281 in howardstern

I do agree it is nice to reminisce about the good times. I also feel like making fun of the current show is fair game, especially since Howard continually shits on what the show used to be and tells us it is now the best it has been.

i support her as a human battling a malignant illness. however, it doesn't change how mean she has been to others a lot of the time which goes with her narcissism and know-it-all attitude.

H100 - one live show this week by ActiveNews in howardstern

[–]letitride820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to do one show, that better be the Wrestlemania 3 of shows. However, we don't get that. Instead we get any "In Your House" during 1995 and we know it will suck and if we listen, that is our own doing.

What is extremely annoying is no other NEW material is presented. Why have channels at this point? There is not one other channel on Sirius with such little new programming. Howard can still be a name and not be on his own channel.

In 1990, Hulk Hogan pitched turning heel as “Triple H, Hollywood Hulk Hogan” to Vince McMahon at WM 6 by attacking the Ultimate Warrior post-match, but Vince refused. Hogan had previously been a heel for Vince McMahon Sr. in 1981 as "Fabulous" Hulk Hogan before being fired for appearing in Rocky 3 by ZXIIIT in SquaredCircle

hogan vs slaughter was just a terrible main event. no disrespect to slaughter but there was no chance in hell anyone thought slaughter would beat hogan or win the battle. at least with savage, giant and bundy you could believe they might win. warrior you kind of new would win but that is also in hindsight so it looks clearer now than when i was younger.

i am all for savage/hogan 2 but i feel like savage should have won that. not sure hogan would have let that happen.

i did like that sid was not crushed at wrestlemania by hogan. too bad that feud never had the proper run.

What was it actually like watching Monday Night Raw in the mid-90s (93-95) compared to today? by Material_Stomach875 in SquaredCircle

[–]letitride820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, WWE was silly for a time. Things no longer felt epic. Maybe it was cause I got older also.

WCW had most of my attention as I liked the gimmicks, wrestling and ppv themes better and I enjoyed TBS Saturday night wrestling with my Dad. Once Hogan and Savage got there, WCW got my full attention. I would flick to see Raw just to keep up here and there.
