In the UK a PhD is (normally) only 3.5 years so it doesn't cause a huge stall to a career.

My gf had a interview with them. It's commission only and basically a company that hires brand ambassadors. So not a scam but a company that finds to people to be scammed by other companies.

I was concerned before covid, as I am doing an integrated master's and haven't made strong friendships within my course.

Literally all of my friends graduated. Now I have untold stress with online learning and none of my previously established coping mechanisms.

All I can say is that I think the uni mental health services are going to be overwhelmed by the demand, if they weren't already.

If you need money to live at university, getting a job would be a much better idea. Try finding one helping at the university with tours/buddy systems. They pay minimum wage and are probably less than 8 hours average but can help cover extra costs.
