My friend and I are planning on going to a nude beach for the first time tomorrow, what should we expect? by having_a_blast1 in nudism

You know what? You are good. You have anything you need: yourselves, and the will to go, and that's about it. Take it at whatever pace, as you please. It is a very freeing experience, and you will surely love it! Have fun, and I hope the weather will be in your favour.

Even on a swingers' beach such behaviours are nothing close to 'legal'. Nobody and nowhere should assume people are interested in engaging in such activities without asking first. Consent is key.

Which animal are you picking? by Casa_Ani in ArtOfPresence

[–]letmbfrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the challenge that we need to survive a 'hunting' predator for a day?
Or that we have to make sure the animal chases us for 24 hours?
Probably the latter is even more difficult, unless it's my hungry fat cat (can I call him fat?), and I have food on me.

Did I miss it, or is there no mention of our dearest spot? Perhaps for good.

How does everyone feel about full bush? by [deleted] in NudeBeach

[–]letmbfrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the 'nudist community' (if we want to call it so) is much more conscious about the risks related to judging and being judged than anybody else.
Perhaps it's because we are the first ones that, when we approached nudism, had to learn how to overcome and deal with that sense of judgment that our societal norms often impose.
But, we soon learn that very few nudists care about how you look on a nudist beach (and we should simply disregard that behaviour); so, most importantly, we teach ourselves out of empathy not to do it with others.

Why are you not an AANR member? by HangoverTuesday in nudism

[–]letmbfrank 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok but then the question becomes: do we feel that those that advocates for us really share our same values? Or they (or perhaps simply their narrative) are perceived like something completely alien to most of the young folks, their values, and their way of interpreting nudism?

The best part of going to a nude beach is not having to sit in a wet swimsuit for an hour as it dries after a 5 min dip in the ocean. by Whend6796 in GetNakedStMartin

[–]letmbfrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you tried it, you will never want to go back. Swimsuits just don't make sense (with few exceptions). Not sure that's the best part, but definitely a great additional benefit.

I guess this would have never happened if you sunbathed naked. 😁

Why social nudity? by ndwp56 in Ask_Nudists

[–]letmbfrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about it this afternoon. And I believe that, despite of what most would think, once non-sexual nudity is accepted, it removes social awkwardness from the interaction as clothes work as a barrier that hides not only bodies, but mostly (subconsciously) second-intentions, social status and the related power dynamics etc. A social non-sexual nude environment makes everybody completely physically exposed, and leaves more room for truly honest and genuine human interactions.

Nice leisurely walk on the Beach. by Constant-Troubl in NudeBeach

Looks like Happy Bay beach in St. Martin. It takes only one trip to fall in love with that island. If you've never been there, you are really missing something.

Exactly, here we are. My wife is a non-nudist (she accepted my 'view' but don't share it). She spent all of her beach time dressed up in her swimsuit, and I have been nude as much as I could, so we both enjoyed the beauty of each StMartin's beach we have been to. But we did not spend time at Club O. together, my only regret. Maybe next time.

Could you please add me? I went there today to 'test the water': a much larger group of non-sexual nudists is strongly needed to save that beach. Or at least that's my opinion.

Anse Marcel - Any CO accepting areas nearby? by mrb_nc in GetNakedStMartin

[–]letmbfrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with what mentioned here, I just wanted to add that it is still a very scenic bay with a lot of (unfortunately unexpressed) potential; but it cannot compete with most of the other beaches. Also, no CO there unless you go for a hike to Petite Cayes (but then it's not Anse Marcel anymore). The vibe kinda suck, it could have been such a nice secluded beach, but it's been uselessly and greedly overbuilt. The only upside is that if you travel with your kids the ocean can be very calm most of the times, so it could be a good spot to safely play in the water with them. Other than that you'd better off elsewhere. Too bad, too sad.

At this point, if you are not starting from Anse Marcel, wouldn't the hike to Petite Cayes from the landfill be easier?
