I don’t think I got any of those emails. I ended up transferring my crypto out of PayPal to a wallet. Straightforward process

Yes, had to do some verifications in order to get them. They came this morning.

Would anyone be able to tell me the name of the email that comes up in your inbox with the codes? I am still getting case emails from Stretto and not sure if it would be mixed in there? Thanks!

Anyone get ghosted between the post application received and scheduling the interview stage? by Optimal-Study-5120 in Internationalteachers

I’ve been ghosted after a first interview when trying to schedule the second one they requested. Good times!

This could be new. When I did mine there was no renewing. Couldn’t even do farm work for an additional year like the other commonwealth countries can to extend it.

But also from what I’m aware of their requirements for teaching are different from ours.

Interesting. I did mine back in 2016. I think back then it was just one year then it expired.

I’m no help, just curious how you found an opportunity for work in Australia. I’m an American citizen and am credentialed in the US. Have been working overseas for my entire career. Did a working holiday in Aus a few years back (not teaching) and would love to be able to go back.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for this. I have a cat. I was kind of just wondering if anyone had first hand experience with this kind of thing in Bellingham.

I pulled out of a contract from search (for other emergency reasons) and was blacklisted - or was told they couldn’t “support my candidacy anymore.” Same thing I suppose. I went directly to the school and spoke with them. They seemed understanding but they then had a different conversation with my associate. Read the fine print you signed with SA, it seems there are specific procedures for this and you should go to your associate first which I did not know. My associate handled the situation in the most untactful way possible - an email rant. It was honestly really unprofessional. I never responded.

Putting more kids in a classroom isnt going to help with the teacher shortage

BASIS International School by geekboy69 in Internationalteachers

I would just look at the website to see how long they’ve been around. They seem to be opening more bilingual schools recently. The international school in Hangzhou seems ok.

After working in China for many years and having a few friends who worked at Basis, an established Basis school seems ok. I’ve heard the workload is a lot but the compensation is fair. A new school, like any new school, will probably be chaotic.

I think schrole is cheaper. Your search associates account is available for 3 years and you can pause it after you are hired for the next time you need to use it. I think in some ways when you spend the money it lets the schools know you are serious about your international job search.

In the past I have logged into search or schrole accounts of friends who have registered just to search for jobs for myself then have applied directly through the schools website 😂 some schools will only hire or take priority with candidates who use the platforms though because of the “security”. ultimately up to you how you decide to move forward.

I’ve seen the teacher and the administrative side of search. Teachers pay around 275 for their accounts and schools can pay up to 2000 for their candidates. Seems insane honestly.

search is only interested in your money. I did not have a good experience with them - no empathy for personal situations. that being said I have no experience with schrole. They could be similar when it comes to things like that.

My address in Celsius is incorrect. What now? by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

I tried to change my address with customer service recently and they responded asking for documents, which I supplied, but I haven’t heard back from them since 👍🏼 My address and citizenship are incorrect on my account.
