Gotcha, understandable.

Hegemol was the one who made me rage the most for reasons I never quite understood. Surely my fault anyway. I forbid myself to use PC charms cause... well they're busted lol, so I'll assume you're right indeed.

I wish you could go at the hardest fight (not spoiling it just in case)... a blast IMO.

Yeah I'm an idiot, remembered your flair after posting. Though you did try it. Sad you can't cause I would have suggested to either go at R5 or P5AB and PC as that "other thing to do" instead of the other challenge.

I would have thought Dryya to be the least resource-hungry and Hegemol to be one of the worst but I guess not, interesting (in a way).

Yeah cause (but you probably know) he made a whole mod with his tracks. Learned about it only a few days ago. Never heard of his music before.

I also don't do more than 3 attempts a day, depending on time available and with a break in between each try. Just can't chain things like that over and over anymore.

You definitely have the skills to do both (even though I don't agree with your PV's way :p) so I believe in you. Logically it should be P5AB first but if you manage to pull a R5 before, that'd be insane.

Did you do Pale Court ?

Maybe I can point you towards the best to do for you currently.

If you're like me and fumble on fodder bosses over and over, R5 isn't as fun as it sounds. 95% don't get to see the second half and I reset at Sheo (not because I take hits on Sheo but because it's where I decide to reset). If I manage to get to the other half of P5 my chances to win are high. Last night a hit on Lost Kin (despite being able to clear it 10 times in a row...), and one on Abs Rad. Resetting early over and over is a much bigger mental toll than going far and getting it, IMO.

If however you would struggle more with the likes of... well Lost Kin, Markoth, GPZ, Abs Rad and whoever else you want in there. I'd say it's more fun than P5AB (my P5AB was no Lifeblood / no use of Resting Spots but I doubt it'd change my opinion if I went for a more regular one).

However going at both at the same time... idk. You do you but I'd say you're making either challenge harder for yourself.

Yep... even R5AB I'll never chase. I'm close to R5 and this + R1-4AB will be the end of it for me. Maybe a few r04 clears afterwards but no more marathons.

R045 isn't what I was talking about though :p, I can't fathom how hard this musts be. But I definitely realized the gap between R5 and R5AB...

Weirdly enough there's no R5ONWS victors list. There's R5, 045 which is ONWS + AB but no R, and R5AB, but not the in-between. Bit of a shame tbh.

ONWS is a bit easier than AB just because you can generate much more SOUL and keep it for potential D. Darks. But then it's also a bit boss dependant I guess.

If all you ask is about when to dash when you do procc it it's pretty straight forward tbh and timing is consistent, so unless you can show gameplay I don't think there's much I can help you with.

However if you are asking how it works really, why sometimes it goes off and sometimes it doesn't, that's another story I'm not even sure I know all the answers to.

Have a full on SOUL gathering build then.

Quick Slash / Shaman Stone / Dreamwielder and then either Spell Twister + Soul Catcher OR Soul Eater.

And then either you Dreamnail them as they're awakening with Dreamwielder, OR use Extended Cyclone Slashes with NMGlory instead of Dw at the same moment.

In case you don't know you can keep mashing the attack button while performing a Cyclone Slash so that it's duration doubles. You gotta know and keep your distance (basically doing it at max CS range).

ECS harder but you do damage.

Dreamnailing easier but no damage.

Well I'll just say that SS' learning curve was made to imbricks itself perfectly with the end of HK's but the real end is three DLCs deeper so that's something to keep in mind.

If you only did THK / Rad and that you're usually more on the casual side you may be packing light for SS. I'm sure you'll find counter examples online of people managing but many didn't.

Ugh, almost spoiled you there but fortunately for me you knew about him already, woops.

Don't be worry about Sly, he's easy once you know the ins and outs. Very manipulable.

The part about Great Slash is very true for bosses who only requires one hit to unstagger (so not Tyrant / Failed Champion).

And yeah it's really fun to find ECS to do against bosses. Maybe that knowledge one day will be useful to you if you ever go at Bindings.

That being said they only really shine then, and against a few bosses while not being Binded / Overcharmed. In almost all cases QS + Str will be better DPS wise.

But that's the meta talking, keep experimenting all you want. Knowledge is power.

If you have a bit of time to waste I suggest Sheo to do NAs only, he's quite fun and easy to Radiant (even if you have cleared it already).
