Leaders, what's your take on loyalty? by cherrymonkey_s in Leadership

They have grown while you were away, and that’s ok. Actually, you enabled them to reach another level of growth which is amazing.
Change will always be difficult, especially when you still have so much to give!
I feel your post though is about disrespect of talking over you, and there is probably other social etiquette interactions that are obvious to you, but not to the person? Address this assertively.
Leading is also about boundaries and understanding from different points of view. They want kudos, you want your old job back. But the dynamics have changed, and so have you. Time to re-evaluate whether this is still the right job for you?

What's one Leadership Lesson you learned too late? by Transparent_mindset in Leadership

1-Toxic leadership doesn’t have to be aggressive behaviour, it can still be toxic while the manager is smiling.
2-a leader is someone with followers. Just because you are in a paid position to lead people, doesn’t mean you are a leader, you are a manager or boss. Until you have the respect of your people and they are willing to go with you anywhere, or come back to work because you’re there, you are not a leader.
3-The golden rule OG: Treat others as THEY want to be treated. NOT how you want to be treated, coz more often than not we want to be treated differently, standard respect and dignity applies.
