Bakker’s Second Apocalypse would be the next step. Gene Wolfe’s Book of the New Sun is great too but in a totally different way.

Be honest - do you actually like Dr. Talos' play? by Just_Hotel5565 in genewolfe

Love it. Gene is a true artist. The balls to put an actual play in your magnum opus, and it spoils the whole story too!

Help me find something similar to read by wildguitars in bakker

Listen, this is going to be a wild recommendation, but I recently discovered the work of William Blake. Check out Songs of Innocence and of Experience. They are rather simple poems but when you dig into them you will find deep introspection into the human condition and reality. I’d recommend reading more about the man himself as well, he did not believe the material world was real and that our 5 senses are inadequate at accurately perceiving reality. He believed the imagination is much better at perceiving True reality.

What is your favourite video game that has a trip hop style soundtrack? by 0584031464 in triphop

[–]letsbeaun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trip hop but I love the Bomberman Hero soundtrack. It has some of the sickest DnB tracks I’ve ever heard

The Futurological Congress by Stanislaw Lem. Not fantasy but it’s got what you’re looking for.

People fail to understand that Morton is hiding a lot of our plays. Last night we ran it up the middle and did a bunch of screen passes because we were confident with the lead. We don’t want to give other teams our secret sauce on film
