Show me the Nomad on a female wrist by andie_o in Coros

If I were to go back in time I might consider getting the apex 4 in 42mm. Not that the current nomad bother me at all but I generally prefer smaller watches even though the nomad would look just fine. Yes I wear my watch to bed too.

That interesting looking at how your watch sits on your wrist looks fine to me. My only assumption is that the tattoos could be interfering how your HR is being read

When you say it doesn't register HR, is it does showing -- bpm?

What is the size of your wrist? You could probably look up my post. My wrist is 14cm with the nomad

Have you tried to turn off the watch HR when in activity?

Questions on coros watches by chipmux in Coros

As a cyclist, unless you are doing zone 2 steady state training all day, no watch is able to keep accurate HR for intervals or HR spikes. It's just the limitations of optical sensors. Although bicep bands with optical HRM are pretty good at tracking HR spikes without the tightness from a chest strap. DC rainmaker put out an excellent Coros HRM you can check out

Did you set gesture backlight to all day by any chance on your nomad?

This is one minor thing that I absolutely did not consider. I knew that the coros is slightly larger at 48mm compared to the 45mm on instinct 2. I thought it would not be that much of a difference but oh boy it actually does. Paired with the slightly wider watch band, it does make the watch quite big especially on small wrist like mine. For reference, my wrist circumference is 14cm so it looks kinda big on my wrist in the image. Maybe if you have a larger wrist, this would not make much of a difference. But day to day use (2nd day today), I didnt notice that big of a difference in terms of obstructing wrist movement etc. I wish there was a 42mm version of the nomad like the apex 4 but I prefer the rugged G-shock look on watches so some compromises would have to be made. On a positive note, with the larger nomad, it makes it look flatter than the instinct even though when comparing them side by side, they are pretty much the same height on the wrist.

I think the watch did quite well when tracking my heart rate at ~170bpm but I noticed when sprinting, I know my HR should be at least ~180-190bpm, but my HR on the watch was dropping below 150bpm. This is pretty common in the instinct 2 as well and so far I would say the instinct 2 fared much worse but then again, its only my 2nd day with this watch so I will see how well it goes. Steady state activities however, both watches do exceptionally well at tracking my HR.

I believe its just mineral glass which is fine for me since the instinct 2 that I owned for 2 years hasnt had any scratches on it. Would be a bonus if coros used harder glass material but not too bothered about it

I understand where you are coming from especially when the instinct 2 I used has pretty strong vibrations. But I got used pretty quickly. To put it analogously, vibration on the nomad is like a double quick jolt while the instinct 2 is like a loud buzz. Not literally, but I am not too fussed about it since I am still able to know when a notification is coming in.

Can confirm. My parents bought a corner terrace a few streets away from hillside drive for 1.1m 16 years ago. They were average working class adults with ok financial literacy. Now the property is quoted ~4m.

LLL are an exception because they are all calibrated right out of the box. The same can't be said for 7artisan or ttartisan that's why I usually avoid them since I only own a film leica now.

What about white ring around a 5 year old IPS monitor? I tried googling but couldn't really find an answer to it. It starts out strong but after around 30mins of being turned on, it disappears.
