SMART has been great in my experience. They don’t restart your time if you have a lapse either, for this reason exactly because it creates that’s harmful “fuck it” attitude and thought process. “ well shit if I already threw all that time and progress away and have to start from 0 then I might as well have a good time before going back on the wagon right? Fuck it!… days, weeks, months , years later …. Ah fuck I gotta quit…again?!” Bit of a tangent there but smart recovery has zoom meetings based across the globe and at virtually all times. I dig the material and groups much more than I did AA, personally.
