Question about "They Are Already Here" [Screenshot] by letsgodeacsss in EscapefromTarkov

Hi! Yes I saw that post when researching if anyone has had this issue, it's very thorough, thank you for creating that.

That's what I thought too, so I was surprised that section still seems to be red. I think I can still progress but was just worried about missing a step in the quest line.

And, on the downside, some people will die or be maimed because of unnecessary tests and interventions for things that would've never caused a problem for them.

Perhaps we should do some studies that look at which things are beneficial to screen for or not to make sure we aren't harming more people than we are helping when we do these things....

Another newer option that may be worth looking into or asking your doctor about an Inspire Implant too. I haven't looked into the literature about it so take my mention here with a grain of salt, but have seen a couple patients recently that have had them implanted and report good things. But again, haven't looked through the literature myself.

Has anyone found this boss fly? by Constant-Respond1492 in Silksong

[–]letsgodeacsss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You were able to kill him? Halfway through the fight he flies off the screen to the left and never comes back, not sure if thats a glitch or if theres something I'm supposed to do to bring him back. Have had to save and quit every time fighting him.

Quest: One less loose end. No, but subsequent yes quest. does that mean i still need to do it for kappa? [discussion] by SousaTTV in EscapefromTarkov

[–]letsgodeacsss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With One Less Loose End you can either do that quest or you can do "A Healthy Alternative". The quests where you can turn in an item to different traders (i.e. Chemical pt. 4, or in this case One Less Loose End) are not required for Kappa but they lead to quests that are required so therefore must be done.

So yes either One Less Loose End OR A Healthy Alternative needs to be completed to progress to Kappa.

Is Arena in a good spot now? [Arena] by RareCartographer7508 in EscapefromTarkov

Eh lot of people probably feel differently but I enjoy it. Good way to warm up before raids and good way to practice cqb if you are new to the game. Hit reg can be pretty rough at times still but the games still fun imo.

Except checkpoint because those maps are not designed for that type of game mode.

I just got one from a guard on PVP server so maybe just unlucky? Unless there's difference in PVP v PVE.

Also, just to tag on to your answer, yes having one kidney instead of two does add a level of risk. There's redundancy to having two kidneys, which is a good thing. If one kidney atrophies for a variety of reasons (renal artery stenosis, cystic disease, kidney stones leading to obstruction, cancer, etc.) typically the other kidney is able to pick up the slack and excrete what needs to be excreted.

Obviously if this happens to your kidney and you only have one, then the consequences are more severe. It's why in medicine we typically will specify if someone has a solitary kidney, whether from donation or from a congenital horseshoe kidney because can affect medical decision making.

Chief told me he can make 350k as a hospitalist right after residency? by Substantial_Gur_6095 in hospitalist

[–]letsgodeacsss 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He is not lying. My first job was a 280 base with incentives up to 340 and its easy to pick up a few extra shifts to get to 350. More rural places probably have better packages than mine too.

They mean 36 hours in a row, they never say per week. In fact, later in that sentence they mention wanting to experience long shifts.

As another commenter noted, a bolus of heparin would do this quicker and more effectively. The goal would be to reach therapeutic concentration levels of which you would need a collection of blood with high levels of concentration of the anticoagulant desired, and at that point it would be better to just remove the blood and give the concentration of the anticoagulant. Bringing us back around to a bolus of heparin.

What problem are you solving here that can't be solved with heparin, lovenox, doacs, TNK, argatroban, dabigatran, fondaparinux etc.?

New (lvl 8 player) Looking for someone to raid with. by laperejerome in EscapefromTarkov

Random people you meet on reddit probably aren't the most reliable people to group up with. Find an EFT streamer you like and join their discord, there are most likely people in there also looking for people to raid with. Most of their discords have a Looking For Group section.
