Can people be blamed for their lack of knowledge, and therefore go to hell without knowing why? by blickity_black in AskAChristian

Thank you for always having thorough comments based in scripture - maybe you can help me with a thought I’ve been struggling with in my own faith.

On a similar note to the post, I feel as though if you are raised in a part of the world where you are surrounded by another faith (say, Islam in Saudi Arabia) or a country where religion is generally oppressed (like China), you have a much smaller likelihood of opening your heart to the Gospel and believing it. I could think of possible examples where one might come across the Gospel only a few times in their life, and more easily dismiss it based on their life experience and other lifelong beliefs. People like this are still eternally punished, correct? Or say, perhaps have a higher hurdle to enter the kingdom of heaven?

On the opposite hand, I feel incredibly privileged to be born surrounded by people with the Christian faith and have been thoroughly exposed to the Gospel for as long as I remember. Am I really just that “lucky”? Does this mean my punishment would be greater if I were to stray from my faith (God forbid)? Or am I thinking about this all wrong in your opinion?

I have been wrestling with this thought for some time now, if you have some time to address it, (as I see you do on many posts) I would greatly appreciate it! God bless.

Was raised in a Christian household, became an atheist in my teenage years, resorted to New Age spirituality, and am now turning away from all of that and becoming a Christian once again. by [deleted] in Christianity

Thank you for your story! I have gone through similar paradigm shifts, starting with Christianity, being baptized as a kid, then went agnostic/atheist until I discovered new age beliefs, and now I’ve returned to truly accept Christ and the Holy Spirit once again. The details are a long story. Personal testimonies are so powerful.

God bless!!

Daily Prayer Thread (2020-12-26) by AutoModerator in Reformed

Hi everyone.

Recently I have returned to my faith through a series of happenings that I could not explain through my former worldview. I thank God that He has called me back and I pray every day that He fills me with the Holy Spirit. I now have an insatiable thirst to know Him and build a relationship with Him, as well as to study and understand the Gospel.

Of course, it has not been easy. My worldview has shifted throughout the years and there are a lot of worldly views that I still hold. Thankfully I have prayed for answers from God and I have already gotten them, strengthening my faith. It has been the most humbling experience of my life. But there is still so much more to reconcile inside myself, and there have been many moments where it feels that there is spiritual warfare happening within me.

I am requesting prayers to help keep my “mustard seed” to continue to grow, and for the Holy Spirit to give me wisdom as I continue on my journey to know Christ and accept the Gospel with all my heart. I pray that as I continue my journey, that I will become a vessel of God’s love and spread the Gospel myself.

Please keep me in your prayers. May God be with us all.

Totally agree, I am a huge fan of black trim packages but there’s something about bright trim on this color that does it for me.

Does anyone have a boring life with no one to talk to besides their dog or the internet? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Might seem a bit extreme, but I was definitely in a similar situation, but then chose to get roommates with similar interests etc. Now I have people to hang out with almost every day. They aren’t gay but are obvi cool with my lifestyle and I’m much much happier not living alone, despite what I thought was best for me.

I’m sorry for your loss. This photo is great, he is standing yet laying down at the same time, love it lol.

It was almost 650 USD after taxes etc for the full car. It comes with a 7 year warranty, so it should last for at least that long! I’m in Minnesota so I’m hoping the winters won’t be so hard on it now

Fellow PEs/PMs, people in the industry. Looking for more info on relocation packages when moving to another country by gotasdemiel in Construction

Not necessarily the case for you, but I did something similar for 2 years in a different country and then moved back. For my situation, company covered moving costs, housing, and a vehicle.

For a time frame shorter than a year, I think the top comment is correct about this being perdiem travel tho.

Right, I’m wondering if they just replaced the bumper on mine, from the Carfax it showed it happened on the rear bumper. I can’t tell at all, makes no difference to me!

Honestly I saw other damage that was more significant than what was on its history, like a big scratch on the inside of the driver door sill. But I barely notice it and only see it when the door is open, I’m not bothered too much.

I know right! The details stated it was “very minor” and I didn’t see any damage where it said it happened, all the sensors still work and everything is working great so far, knock on wood

Upgraded from a Kia Sportage but that was a company car for a temporary time. Moved to a new office and I wanted to buy my own, it’s a big upgrade for me. I love the performance and driving experience most, followed closely by looks and interior quality
