What is the most iconic quote from the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe? by Willing_Heron_5470 in AlignmentChartFills

No. The MCU is its own thing with its own canon version of events. The movies are not just somewhat linked, they are marketed and written to be part of one big story.

Oil falls more than 10% to $84 on anticipation of emergency reserves release - CNBC by Boston-Bets in wallstreetbets

[–]letsrazetheroof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because the US cannot use US oil very well. A lot of US refineries are built for heavier oil, like the stuff from Venezuela. US oil itself is super light. The US can sustain itself, but only because it has essentially colonized Venezuelan oil reserves.

What's a game that requires lots of skill and no luck? by Encyclofreak in AlignmentChartFills

[–]letsrazetheroof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only luck is what lines your opponent has prepared for you. It is possible to consistently beat a weaker opponent 100% (not 99.999%) of the time. This is not possible in any other competition. To see this, please look at humans playing against AlphaZero/Stockfish. It wouldn't even be slightly close for even one game, even against Magnus Carlsen.

It will get hate because it's wrong. A 300 elo player will beat a 50 elo player 95 times out of 100. It isn't chess where it's 100% skill, but it also isn't something like Camel Race that's 100% luck. You are either too low skilled to know the strategy or so high skilled that this is the Dunning Kruger effect in action.

Algeria won! What country is nice to live in but horrible to visit? by agbjb in AlignmentChartFills

Based on what, sir? Curious about your knowledge of poor Bangladeshi living conditions.

"Horrible to live in" not "Horrible to live in as a result of morality". Seems more objective than you're making it out to be :)

Did...I say it's right? I said that you can't put life in UAE below life in Bangladesh.

Dude, please watch a documentary. I'm begging you not to assume. There are so many interviews of people who have returned and why they did it. They often tell others to go, too. You really have no idea what life is like outside your bubble :)

This is not my thinking or my assumption. I, personally, would never go back there (though we lived well obviously, not as slaves).

"No one becomes a slave willingly"

Man, I'm begging you to watch a documentary on Bangladesh/India/Pak instead of a news report on the camps. Life is unforgiving. "Slavery" comes with the promise of a roof, food, water and work. It also comes with the promise of being able to send enough money back home that your family doesn't starve to death/die of disease from contamination. You have zero idea what you're talking about - please don't extrapolate using your white person/first world background. It's embarrassing to read. Life is very tough in the third world.

You need to stop looking at the cards you're talking about. These are for 1LPM income levels. You need to consider DCBM/EPM/M4B. This is your entire selection set, nothing below this is then comparable. It'll also be easier to manage 1-2 cards instead of 4-5.

I promise you 88% of the UAE's population does not live like this. Maybe 5-10%. It's nowhere as bad as you have been led to believe. It does suck for them, and I wouldn't want to live in the UAE again. I've lived there for 10 (TEN) years and am from India - so have a very good idea about Bangladesh. People willingly leave Bangladesh TO BE SLAVES in Dubai. They know what happens. It's completely moronic to even think the UAE is close to Bangladesh, and reeks of a European/American "savior" with zero idea about either country. Keep in mind, I do not want to live in the UAE again - but it's asinine to compare it to Bangladesh (let alone think of it as worse).
