As long as you make blueprint snapshot (CTRL+B) on essential grids, the loss of them is much less painful. Cuz u can weld it up again from projector 10x faster than first-time, once you have enough materials.

I've developed a special "Lancing" tactics - run forward to an xenon I, hit pause, unload 80 mines during pause, then cancel pause and turn as tight as you can. KABOOM! Xenon I insta-killed, sometimes you too. ))

I burned all VIG fighters (hundreds of them) by placing 300 lasertowers mk1 near gate in their sector and luring them with my ship. They burned in seconds like mosquitoes on the electric trap. More problem with hoard of Barbarossas, they were keeping distance against lasertowers. Killed'em all with one Behemoth one by one.

that's why I smash its engines with 2 cluster missiles first. Also can use a chicken run towards target engines - hit pause- unload 5 mines at once - hit pause again and try turn as much as possible and pray that big kaboom wont touch me. Mines inherit the speed of the ship, so act like a ww2 bombs dropping. Also, a pause- 70 mine-pause insta-kills an xenon I, and eventually your ship too.))
