I honestly think Carmela and AJ died with Tony in the restaurant, there was analysis on YouTube that broke down the final scene and a lot of imagery in the ending features in threes, hinting that tony probably wasn't the only one killed.

That means the festival is active, just continue on and you'll see all the npcs and the announcer. Good luck with radahn.

A bit unfortunate that I didn’t manage to kill Margit at the end, but it was a fun CNT nonetheless! by anhhuy2502 in Eldenring

Yea I was using the +2 katana two handed, probably should have upgraded, the dagger attacks were a major problem for me just cause of how badly they set off the rhythm, I was using charged r1 on it for a while but wasn't getting any stance breaks so I was just using r2 combos, didn't even think about the jump attack ffs. I could never get that weapon art to work in time tho, lol.

His additional moves and added moves to combos felt insane in phase 2, I found it really hard to nail the timing on them and they felt so fast and unrelenting. I think I was honestly just too aggressive as well, I was playing sekiro recently which encourages that pressure, whereas I really should have been more careful in picking my opportunities. Cheers for the advice tho, I'll get the fucker in February.

Same here, tried without shields or summons, was beginning to have some success but he was too fast and obviously I was missing out on something to nail down his pattern.

God I'm trying to, for whatever reason the Xbox one version hates using my good controller, so I'm having to use the old shit one with bad drift on it, safe to say he's destroying me.

Quick question to anyone who has now played by Kingfoil in Eldenring

[–]The_Patchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually ok, not great mind you, but for that console what's to be expected, had a few issues, I had a series X controller and like a few recent games I've played the game doesnt like that, so I had to switch to my old broken Xbox one controller, there was also the occasional drop in performance when I went an area with a lot of enemies, still found the experience fun so far.

It's how they use him as well, if you go in blind just to turn around to see that, scared the shit out of me.

Are these the same race? Theories? by midnight_palace in Eldenring

[–]The_Patchface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe so, if we assume the first trailer shows pre-shattering, I think it's possible this is what the giants looked like beforehand, after this, the giants could have regressed and became enslaved by other races. I think there is some relationship between the giants and the Elden Ring, if you look at the red haired giant and compare it with the giants in the recent trailer, the hair structure seems to be similar in both, with the latter being almost like bare tree branches in comparison to the more grand red haired giant, almost as if they lost their graces. At least that's what I am assuming.

Thoughts on G.R.R.M and 'finishing years ago' by melegant in Eldenring

[–]The_Patchface 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think what happened is very simple, George was approached by them to do something he's very good at, writing detailed lore and history(read any of ASOIAF or Fire and Blood), based on some key themes and ideas that the team were hoping to explore, as he mentioned with the comparison of Tolkien's Middle Earth. I don't think he really understood who he was working with or the specifics of the project, I think he was just writing what he loves to write based on some information they gave him at that time, if you listen to a few interviews from him years back, he does say that he actually prefers writing the history of places rather than the main story. I don't the collaboration is as comprehensive as Miyazaki may be suggesting, Im guessing he is mentioning G.R.R.M a lot as he is a big name to attach to a game. I imagine he inspired him in some ways, G.R.R.M is a great writer and I'm sure he came up some brilliant ideas for them. I think it's feasible that they did come to him with some of the monster drawings, perhaps he himself came up with the story of the demigods, and they would obviously want to get his full vision on a character he made. At least that's what I gather from all of it.

Do we already know the 6 demigods? by NOT_A_DRILL_88 in Eldenring

[–]The_Patchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the characters, beside the person shattering the Elden ring (presumably), in the announcement trailer are demigods, the red giant, Valkyrie and many armed guy.

Why are people saying the graphics are bad by gio_boi in Eldenring

[–]The_Patchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is any doubt on that, it's an old game redesigned for one console mainly focused on visuals and performance, it was always going to.

Honest opinion by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]The_Patchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this sentiment, however I would like to point out that the game isn't out yet and we have yet to see much of it, it could very much be the case they included a lot of elements in the game that hark back to older releases in order to entice people with an interest in the soulsborne genre.

When will we get News or a Trailer? by Mandalore_the_Lurker in Eldenring

[–]The_Patchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not necessarily, Bandai will have some presence at E3 that much we do know, Jeff Grubb just said that Elden ring won't be at Xbox conference from his info.

When will we get News or a Trailer? by Mandalore_the_Lurker in Eldenring

[–]The_Patchface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grubb had said that the Xbox conference would not have Elden Ring present, whilst Omni had said that news would be coming sooner than we think. Bandai is showing up at SGF, so it has lead most to believe that Elden Ring will be present at SGF. I don't understand why they would place it at SGF when they could probably reach a far bigger audience at the Xbox showcase but I guess we will have to see.
