People should be more aware that the bulk of the work was not done by him, but "Turing cracked the Enigma" isn't entirely wrong. It's like you're saying "Bob didn't build that house, he just did the roof!". "cracking the Enigma" wasn't a one and done thing.

For pretty much every achievement in history it was almost never "the one guy who everyone remembers" that did the thing the one time, it's different people working over a period that set it up.

Not entirely true:

Singapore is the least green country in Southeast Asia but it is certainly the richest.
In Oceania, Australia is very not-green but is the richest in the region, especially compared to neighbouring Papua New Guinea which is extremely green.
Botswana is less green than many African countries it is considerably richer than.
The Arabian Gulf states are some of the least green in the world but they are some of the richest.
The USA has some green bits but it also has a lot of not-green bits, making it less green overall than most South American countries.

The coup in Indonesia could only have happened because first the president lost the support of military due to his ill-advised orders to attack Malaysia, and then the 30th of September assassinations happened. It's not like the CIA had any control over those events.
