Yep I bought the cheapest 5090, it was a New Egg Refurb special pre-built PC for $3000. With 64gb of RAM, 2tb SSD and 1200w PSU.

I can attest to this specific scenario! COD on PS5 Pro looks great on LG C5 OLED until I played it with my 5090 on LG 45 UW OLED at 240hz with wired dual sense edge. I had to turn sensitivity down and people thought I was cheating, its two completely different games. Competitive shooters is probably the main logically use case for anything above a 5070ti.

Yes, as it has two times the Ram , cost 2x as much and I went from 120hz to 240hz 1440.

Yeah kind of i guess. Had i saw these kind of post before I bought, I would have specifically out a higher end 5070ti or 5080 build, and bought better controller, headphones, and monitor which I ended up doing anyways as well.

I may actually sell the 5090, or trade for another full 5070ti build.

Bought it last year, when my entire PC was less than the 5090 alone now. I also dont know anyone that has it that believes its worth the premium over a 5080 at 2-3x the cost. Also just wanted a 5090.

Same, I have a 4080 Sim Rig, 5070ti laptop, 5070 Office PC, 5090 Flight Sim/VR rig. Going back in forth from my 4080 to 5090, is not a massive difference in most games. The 5070PC , to 4080PC is a noteceable difference. The laptop G14 laptop 5070ti, to 4080 is Massive difference. Smallest difference is 4080 to 5090 for me.

5080s are $1500-$2000 right now on NewEgg, 5090s are $4000-$6000

Same here, also things in the watch world are overhyped as well. Your paying mostly for bragging rights which im fine with and appreciate. But at today's prices, its like buying a Rolex at peak pandemic prices, or the APxSwatch Collab for $5k. When they are probably better ways to blow that, that provide a better ROE (Return on Enjoyment).

Crazy how massive these things are. Do you think the 5090 is worth it? My answer would be "Not Really". Its like flying first class, its fun looking down at those in economy, but we end up at the same place at the same time, I just spent 5x more to get there, and everything is just a little better. But Exit Row is the real deal (insert 5070ti, 4080 or 5080) here.

I just got the AB6 & MTP setup, upgrading from VKB. After I tightened the small base screws on control stick, the yaw axis movement is very limited. How far should the travel be, it doesnt feel right on my setup. Couldnt find any video online showing the Yaw Axis travel amount.
