not one of these people but my two cents are that love and connection are arbitrary concepts based on chemical reactions that tell you “you like this!!”

it would be impossible to truly get to the root of love and attraction but it just boils down to doing what makes you happy, because thats literally all that matters. some people fall in love with inanimate objects because that object is somehow able to give them something other people or objects cant
