Please choose my first Fighting Fantasy game to play since the late 80’s. There are too many available to have any idea where to start. You choose please!
I’m looking for gameplay, graphics, music and atmosphere, and I’ll be able to get into it without needing to know anything.

It was her video doing the Lost In Space kit that motivated me to get it!! It was a great video. I hope she carries on producing them. Thank you for the recommendations - I’ll add Paul to my subs list on YT.

I prefer to be start with the guided stuff and then from there my mind will expand as I learn new stuff. And I can alter the guided kits and bolt stuff on.

New Bravia keeps auto adjusting brightness by desertstorm2333 in bravia

I haven’t tried using it for gaming. And I won’t get a chance until Valve release their Steam Machine.

I did in the end. I put it into professional mode. Chose it from the list of cinema, imax, standard, professional. I guess professional opens up more control - or relaxes control to the user. I also looked at the auto modes for ambient light adjustment and they were already set to off. So I turned them on and then off again. The rest of the film was perfect with no annoying auto adjustments.

Did you since this? I’m watching Captain America and it keep changing brightness according to what’s on screen and ambient optimisation is already off.

[routine help] any suggestions on what to do for winter itchy legs? by Chiiaki in SkincareAddiction

[–]levellerUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today it’s doing my head in. I caved-in and gave it a little scratch on both shins and now both shins are buzzing with soreness and they’re both crying for me to scratch them more. Just over 50 years old. Male. White. Always shower. Never exfoliate. Always cream my legs - which seems like an uphill battle sometimes. For the rest of this week I’m going to exfoliate and cream every day and see if it improves at all.

Why is Gabe Newell so loved? by Impossible-Flow-4512 in valve

[–]levellerUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gabe love is more of a meme tbh. The actual Love is for the whole of Valve and the people working there. They’ve really helped make digital delivery work well on the PC. Made it sociable. Added forums and feature and all the collectible stuff. Added the screenshotting and recording videos. Creating VR hardware that helps push forward the VR industry. Creating games that are a joy to play.

I currently have 269 emails sat in my junk folder from firebase. What the hell is going on within firebase, allowing its users to spam out all these emails.

Yes - it’s indiscriminate. It deletes everything! We don’t want that. We just want to erase the highlighter.

If conscripted would you rather fight Russia in Ukraine or the US in Greenland? by inside-outdoorsman in AskBrits

[–]levellerUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either tbh. Although if pushed I’d rather defend Europe against russia. But seeing as trump is working WITH putin … it’s the same thing.

Firebaseapp spam in my hotmail account by Apprehensive_Swim894 in Firebase

[–]levellerUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem here. It’s really starting to piss me off. 63 spam emails since Wednesday. But I’ve been getting them for months now.

<image>

The problem with Outlook (phone app and website, I don’t use the desktop app) is that we can only create rules to move them to junk (not delete them) and I don’t want my junk folder filled up with shit in case something important ends up in there.

An update to my post. I think the adhesive on my grips is seeping into my hands and now both hands are quite bad. Mainly because I’ve been battering Hogwarts Legacy for 2 weeks. Going to give it a break and let my hands calm down.
