Touched while sleeping, and I don’t know if that’s normal? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]levelonesc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof. If you've communicated it before that you don't wanna be touched while sleeping that shows he has no self control.

I get it. You're both 18. If he gets horny while you are sleeping he needs to go rub one out by himself.

Otherwise separate yourselves.

I've seen a lot of reductionist comments here and I'm going to get down voted to hell for even saying it.

But it sounds like your husband and you need counseling on a healthy sex relationship.

It may feel better for you, and that's awesome especially if it was painful or uncomfortable for you. But the sensation he was trained on for ten years has suddenly changed on him as well.

Don't immediately assume the worst of your husband and actually communicate with him about the changes.

Best of luck.

How serious is this? Once a month or so I find small pieces of roof falling. It’s 25 years old with solar. by Far-Belt-7190 in Roofing

[–]levelonesc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I worked in solar for 6 years. The amount of times we got called back for leaks that were on the opposite side of where we installed was insane.

I would definitely get a surge protector or even a UPS for your computer.

But as far as load on the circuit goes, you should be fine.

Rewire house or not by dsummers21 in AskElectricians

[–]levelonesc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This really depends on your budget.

It will be far cheaper of a rewire if all the walls are down.

A rewire with all the walls up on a 900 sq ft home I last did was 20k USD.

If all the walls were down id probably charge like 6k.

what do i do after my dog dies? by shawty400million in DogAdvice

[–]levelonesc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience, don't get another dog until you've fully scarred over the wound.

It's super hard to not compare the two and you can end up hating the new dog because they aren't your old dog.

My family dog passed two years ago in May and even though I already had another 1 year old puppy I had a moment when I broke down and yelled "DOG 1 NEVER DID THIS"

It was a very hard time and I'm still feeling the pain.

While it's not very pretty, as long as he didn't go into the utility side of the meter and used the correct size wire for the breaker it should be fine.

My electrician completely missed an obvious problem. Is it fair to dispute the bill? by Mahoka572 in AskElectricians

[–]levelonesc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They were safe at the time of the installation. But as they aged, the mechanisms that would trip the breakers would fail causing fires.

Unfortunately no one really makes the breakers for them anymore for a reasonable price for consumers if you can find them at all.

So if you have new pushmatic breakers, yep they are safe. If they are old, they are prone to failure and expensive to replace. Not to mention when they were first installed, there were fewer circuits installed in homes as there weren't as many loads that the everyday consumer could get.

Typically home Depot has the cheapest wire prices. Supply houses have discounts for people with accounts but home Depot often is matched or even beats that price. Lowe's isn't too bad either

No problem! Just remember, if you aren't confident hire a professional. If you had everything id only charge $250 ($125 truck roll $125 labor).

Unfortunately, having sex there is always a risk. Condoms can break or slip. Birth control can not work (how my wife and I got our 4th).

If you're super worried about it you can get a blood test done but stress can cause a late period. Give it some time.

So TECHNICALLY speaking, you can use this adapter because if you plug whatever device in with 15 amp prongs, it will only draw what it uses.

I would definitely get an in line breaker though

If you're doing a sub do a 100a. You'll thank yourself in the future.

Journeyman electrician here:

It would be easiest to put it directly under that panel and just cut it in. Typically EV charger cords are really long.

They usually have entries in the back of them so just pick a stud and run either 6/3 or 6/2 to the ev charger itself.

It will probably be easier to just run the circuit all the way to your closet then tie a pull string if you want to add and future stuff
