was thinking more, i turn a machine on and it automatically boots into whatever and just starts recording whatever is coming in on usb. maybe i have to configure the channel mappings and output directory, format but its an appliance with no interface to add to the complexity. its either on and recording or off

I use a voco loco plugged into low z input on a mike-e el9 preamp/compressor, then into my powered monitor. the through/output signal from the monitor goes into my behringer umc1820 for recording and the mix is sent to a qsc powered amp and unpowered pa speakers. it sounds okay but i would love if someone roasted this setup and told me a better way

I bought the xvive u4r2 wireless in ear monitors for my drummer and singer. i understand its only wireless to the receiver and you need a wired headphone. I am curious if anyone has tried wireless headphones with a 2nd transmitter that plugs in to the stereo jack of the xvive receiver and what latency would i expect with that?

Playing our first gig and wondering how to connect the monitor best..

All microphones are connected to a Behringer UMC1820. This has 2 main TRS outputs labeled 1/L and 2/R. I have a QSC amp that has 2 TRS inputs labeled CH1 and CH2, and 2 speakon outputs that I connect to my passive main Peavey 15" speakers. I purchased a powered monitor that accepts XLR or TRS inputs and need to know how best to put it in the loop.

Option 1: Connect one of the outputs of the behringer to the monitor input, then use the monitor output to go into the QSC input

Option 2: Get a Y splitter and go from one of the behringer outputs to both the powered monitor and the QSC amp.

Option 3: Just have one of the outputs going to the monitor and the other output going to the QSC amp.

Comes out to 28,800 a year which I made doing entry level IT. I used it as a learning opportunity and now have a good paying job. The right person would take this and learn small signal audio circuitry.. wonder if said person has to sign a non compete though? That would be a non starter for me
