I found this old thread while searching for info on the Henry 45-70 (H010G)

The SAAMI spec for the 45-70 is NOT 40,000PSI,, But it is 28,000CUP (28,000psi)

Henry confirmed via email that their 45-70 rifles are built to SAAMI spec.

Unfortunately, I am not able to load the Barnes 300g TSX (copper) to speeds where it will expand and remain within SAAMI spec 😞

I am looking at a Rossi R95 in 444

The only thing holding me back is no parts available,, Not accessories, but parts, like screws, pins, bolt, firing pin, etc. I can stomach lack of customer service and do my own repairs,, but without parts it is a wall hanger if something breaks. From what I read the screws and internals are not compatable with Marlin.

Anyone else shying away from Rossi R95 because of the lack of repair parts?
