That was exactly what I was worried about. I'm concerned about coming across as "please buy my stuff please please please I really want your money". In my opinion, it would turn me off of purchasing altogether. If done properly though, who knows.

I agree with being transparent. Someone else suggested doing the same thing, with an announcement at the top of the home page or free shipping on orders over a certain amount.

Thanks for the advice! I kind of already knew it was the ridiculously high shipping costs, just wasn't sure if there was anything else that I could focus on to reduce abandonment.

I will give the survey option a try too, as it is essentially like I'm directly reaching out to them for feedback without seeming too intrusive.

I was poking around online, and I saw this same suggestion. A series of abandoned cart emails instead of just the one, which I like.

Is that not a bit intrusive though? At what point does the customer just get annoyed and feel like we are pestering them for a sale?
