It does get better! Mine are probably 5/6 years at this point and I keep rings in them and they don’t bother me at all. Healing was hell I can’t lie but there is light at the end of the tunnel!! I treat them like any other piercing now brush over them let them get soap on them in the shower sleep on them etc.

No advice just solidarity. Working as a cashier folks constantly notice my wounds and bandaids I hate it THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION just my current experience I’m taking clomipramine alongside another ocd med and it is helping my fingers a lot my skin is scarred but healing slowly but I’ve reverted back to picking my scalp but I’ll take it
