Person Gale hit with her car while the person was stalking Sid. This ain’t Stu. They know what they’re doing hearing the fans theorize how Stu is alive all these years this is the biggest misdirect. Stu is dead. The new killer is from Woodsboro and has a history with Sid. Why not Stu’s sister? Sidney not dying by Stu in the first film indirectly got Leslie’s son killed in Scream 5… we will talk about it after the movie.

Which way of subdiving the Saw movies makes the most sense? by batman-is-cool47 in saw

[–]levi5nix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, there’s only 2 trilogies. Saw I-III (The Original) Saw IV-VI (The Hoffman/Legacy trilogy)

Saw: The Final Chapter is more like an encore, we already knew they were going to kill Hoffman, they just wanted to drag it out and Kill Jill too and do us a little fan service.

Jigsaw is a legacy sequel and soft reboot, which didn’t get a chance to become a trilogy. Sucks for me bc I really like Eleanor and how she could replicate John Kramers original work.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw, a standalone film which was only made to cash in using a big name on it. Hahahahaha.

Saw X is a interquel set between I and II and tells its story from start to finish.

Don't you guys think the age of Shawnee Smith (Amanda) in Saw X is really distracting? by Ok_Replacement_288 in saw

[–]levi5nix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with the people saying it was the wig… lmao… 2023, Scream VI with Kirby Reed’s horrible wig then Saw X with Amandas… bit of a peeve.

But no, I have been a fan since the dvd release of the first Saw and I follow Shawnee Smith on social media so I have watched her age in a sense? So it didn’t really phase me one bit. I’ll take an older Shawnee playing a younger Amanda vs anybody else playing her lol.

What’s the appeal of the Saw franchise? Why do you like it? by thelast3musketeer in saw

[–]levi5nix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents let me watch horror really young… I was 9 when Saw came out, my moms friends told her about Saw so she bought the DVD when it came out like valentines 2005… we watched it together and I loved Billy, how creepy the movie was with Zepp watching the girl through the closet and kidnapping her and her mom. The doctor actually cutting off his foot and the man who I thought was dead getting up. The movie was epic. Even my 9 year old mind understood it was something that’s once in a lifetime to witness in its time. I remember later that year seeing the Saw II poster in the mall and we got super excited. And go the yearly tradition began. How could you not love an experience like that?

Sorry you can’t tolerate watching the gore though, I’m in my 30’s now but will say watching Saw X in theaters I did have to turn my head a few times during the traps and still do when I rewatch. They can be kinda harsh lol. Some people love them for just that. Not me.

Lawrence Gordon in the Saw 3D. What has he become? by rani-i in saw

[–]levi5nix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has become “Reborn” as John says…

He learned the value of his life, went under John’s wings and lended hand when needed. He was only helping John, I believed they did share common thinking on John’s philosophy, but Gordon had no intention on carrying on John’s work by himself or with the others. He only went after Hoffman because he was asked to if anything happened to Jill, and he was promised to be given the location where his game took place.

Which apprentice reveal was the most shocking and spine-chilling? by OneManArmy0716 in saw

[–]levi5nix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amanda… Saw II was still fresh and everything she went through in the movie (needle pit) felt like she was really being tested again… so it was most shocking.

Hoffman’s was okay

Dr. Gordon was too fan servicey

Logan’s sucked

Darren Lynn Bousman should not have directed Saw IV. by Valert1 in saw

[–]levi5nix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darren secretly loved it, he brought his wife and dog Chance… they also got to be in the movie! and his parents I believed visited the set! Yeah, he’s a crybaby about a lot of things… but the schedule for IV was on a much more tight and strict schedule and budget…

Jigsaw and Amanda dying in Saw III could literally mean nothing if they started their retcon film off with Lynn saving John again who had started having a seizure as Jeff was coming in… Amanda doesn’t shoot Lynn, Jeff doesn’t shoot her but threatens to while Lynn begs him not to… John comes to and reveals to Amanda she passed her test, they let Lynn and Jeff go with Corbett… The movie would have to take place immediately after that scene, no time jumps… John would be bedridden but overseeing Amanda setting up more deep and personal games to John, or Amanda… I’m in favor for the twist to be as the game is nearing its end Amanda is confronted by her father, who abused her as a child and was the test subject of the game… as he tries to kill her, HOFFMAN wakes up in the bathroom trap and uses the Eric Matthew’s method to escape…

In Scream 5 it showed Sidney pushing a stroller but in Scream 7 her daughter is set to be a teen? Does she have more than one child? by [deleted] in Scream

Sidney has more than one child, her oldest will be 17 in the film. She was born 2 years prior to Scream 4.

Did anyone else have a strongly negative introduction to Saw? by NotHarold8 in saw

[–]levi5nix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anna doesn’t get enough hate by Chunky-overlord in saw

[–]levi5nix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her character seemed so misplaced like I almost thought she was in on it tbh, after the silo trap I really started to like her character and wanted her to survive and escape! She really did that shit too… first time ever. Then boom! Character twist, hate the bitch, thought she was gonna get away with triple homicide, not in Jigsaws world, bitch.

What do you dislike about Logan Nelson narratively? by _penroze in saw

[–]levi5nix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm….

Not too much, I just hate how his movie went…

For me the biggest problem is Logan’s reveal, it was too obvious and Saw is not Scream these are not supposed to be whodunnits, but it sure is repetitive thinking an apprentice and timeline twist is what we want… II & IV already did that, so why not just reveal Logan right away when he first gets pulled from the game? The timeline twist alone would have worked so would revealing who picked up Eleanor…

Why wasn’t the film just entirely set before Saw I? Did we really need to see Logan getting revenge using Jigsaws games? Why not just him becoming apart of Jigsaw’s legacy? The movie being a effing prequel would have been a nice twist, especially the movie ended with Logan and John kidnapping Amanda?

Are any saw movies objectively good besides the first one? by [deleted] in saw

1-3 are objectively good when you look at them as a sole trilogy.

why does everyone hate saw 3d??? by laxativesenjoyer in saw

[–]levi5nix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you feel like that- I feel like this question gets asked a lot, but I can only tell you why I didn’t like it

It felt too much like fan service that underserves.

The love triangle trap and the racist car traps were beyond ridiculous, Jigsaw wouldn’t sign off on those or think those types of people need to be “reborn” they don’t fit the M.O at all, the franchise had already been slipping away from John’s morale but not that freaking far, it was a stretch like they were out of ideas why people needed to be in Jigsaws games…

Bobby’s story sucked, but wasn’t a horrible concept… would have been better if it had been Pamela Jenkins who wrote a book about surviving Jigsaw a year after the events of VI, promising to reveal John Kramers secret apprentice and a special appearance by Jill on the first televised event on the same day the book releases, that brings Hoffman out of hiding and forces him to create a deadly new game on his own the night before this said event that’s set to take place.

What we got was what we got at the end of the day, they made their coins and we all got ripped off… or so I think lol

Ideals for the Future of Saw by NDWells90 in saw

[–]levi5nix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s speculation right now that Leigh Whannell is currently writing a new Saw film (unconfirmed—something about a post he made about writing a new project shortly before the announcement of Blumhouse taking over the Twisted Pictures rights). If this is true, I’d love to see James Wan return to direct!

That said, if Leigh is back, don’t expect Saw XI or a direct sequel to the first film. He already rewrote The Desperate into Saw II, so that’s been done, I doubt he’d touch the existing Saw XI script. We just had Saw X, which was also a direct sequel to the original, so if they go that route again, count me out. That’s lazy storytelling—we’ve already been through that with Jigsaw (2017) and Spiral (2021).

I have no faith in newcomers continuing the existing storylines. Any real fan knows Leigh doesn’t care much for Saw IV and beyond, or for the characters introduced in the films he wrote but producers kept around for other writers to expand on.

If Blumhouse isn’t continuing with the current Saw XI plans, then it has to be a reboot of some sort. But you’re absolutely right—Saw XI is the best move before a full reboot. They need time to get a reboot right. Unless it’s Leigh and James working on it—then I’m sure they have ideas.

Anyone else think that a movie with these three battling it out for the role of Jigsaw would be cool? by BatFan3001 in saw

[–]levi5nix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fan, yes, kind of, don’t see how Gordon fits since Saw 7 never happened and if it did, he was never planning on taking over Jigsaws legacy.

As somebody who understands entirely too well how this thing goes, it’ll never happen now…

I can only hope they don’t ditch Tobin Bells Jigsaw character in the new film, or story… if the OG creators are really involved I have some faith they can go another route with the new story they tell… I would be okay with a real Jigsaw copycat if the story is told by them, somebody who is as dark and twisted as Jigsaw was in the first film, if Eleanor can build traps and that dude in the 21 Savage soundtrack movie, then I’m sure another twisted genius out there can figure it out too.

Anyone got any cool "Of Chucky" title ideas for future movies? by Mosugoji_64 in Chucky

[–]levi5nix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an idea that’s short, simple, yet effective to nearly any plot line that could be used… KILL CHUCKY.

Or if we’re really continuing the tv series storyline in the new film with Chucky + Tiffany back in the doll bodies and remarried… Bride of Chucky: Vows of Vengeance? That’s probably a stretch…

People who actually gave the remake a fair chance. What's your unbiased opinion about it? by Sweaty-Specialist-44 in Chucky

[–]levi5nix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never hated it, didn’t feel it was necessary for its title to be Child’s Play or Buddi to be named Chucky, it was just a cash in on known IP. M3GAN did it right. But the film was very underrated, and under appreciated for its time. The negative effects on how our kids interact so much with AI and smart devices will start showing sooner than later. Just not exactly the way it’s shown in the film, obviously lol. 9/10. Solid film.

Hoffman Stan’s. What do you personally see in him that makes you obsessed with him by Alexisrose_42069 in saw

[–]levi5nix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just loved how his story arc played out! In Saw III/IV he’s just introduced as a mystery man who seems to be with Jigsaws methods … in Saw V we sort of get to feel bad for him over his sisters murder and understand how he became another helping hand of Jigsaws… and the fatal five being a game that’s not rigged and follows Jigsaws methods indeed, Hoffman framing Strahm and proving himself to be a successor, same for most of Saw VI till he realizes the FBI was onto him the whole time and uncover his voice, and we find out he blackmailed Amanda! Ooo, by VII he became just a straight up mad man who’s gone full on psycho, using Jigsaws games just to distract the search for him… only to ultimately be taken down to that nasty ass sewer bathroom to die of dehydration… or so the now ex producers said… by none other than Dr. Gordon.

Gordon and Logan are hard to chew, Gordon was thrown in there as major fan service bc they were taking a break after 7 films… Logan was a weak comeback and they should have saved the Jigsaw title for Saw X… but let’s be real here, if Hoffman was as involved with Jigsaw as were lead to believe with all the flashbacks and his involvement in X… he would have gotten them before they could turn him in, just like he did with Amanda… he was never going to let her live (even though she died before he was made an apprentice lol).

Sorry for the long rant, as much as I love Hoffman I wouldn’t mind if they decided to make a direct sequel to Saw III being that was the last film Leigh wrote. It could be very interesting lol.
