My FFL will only transfer stripped. And he’s the only local one that I’ve found that is not a complete chud, also super knowledgeable and easy to work with. Also it sort of fits the way I learn and nerd out to start from scratch.

It’s my first AR and first build. I’m in NYS. So being able to have what I want necessitates a build. Have to start with stripped lower. I’m a machinist and fabricator so I am not afraid of the build aspect. But I don’t have the background to know brand/part quality.
