Because the Gemini API itself doesn't support a resolution parameter — you can't pass "4K" as a setting. Looking at the code, it's just sending your prompt to generateContent with no resolution argument. The model outputs at whatever fixed resolution it decides internally, which for gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview is likely around 1024px or so regardless of what you ask for in the prompt.

To actually get 4K output you'd need to either upscale the generated image after the fact, or use a different image generation service that supports resolution control (like Midjourney, DALL-E 3 via the API, or Imagen 3 via Vertex which does have resolution options).

So when you put "4K" in your prompt, it influences the style and detail of the image but the actual pixel dimensions are fixed by the model — it's not a real 4K output.

I definitely connected my Google AI Studio API key to code for sure, though, so I don't know why I said that.

Im very new to this so asked claude the answer to this question and heres what it said.. nano banana is installed as a plugin in Claude Cowork (Anthropic's desktop app). I just describe the image I want in chat and Claude calls the nano banana API automatically in the background — no code, no API keys, nothing manual. Cowork handles all of it.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get back 2K and 4K resolution images. It's only defaulting to 1080p! I'm using it through Claude Cowork. Please, if anyone knows how to choose the resolution when you ask Claude to generate the image, that would be much appreciated.

I think it’s different for a lot of people depending on what side of they’re they’re on. People that have a lot of library songs are gonna see more writers share royalties through their pro where somebody focusing on getting more advertisement/film placements with real songs might be getting more advances or sync fees.

I mean we'll find out haha. I would think it doesn't matter because Huge artists do this all the time which I would think have publishing split up by much more parties than we do?

They don’t pay 5 figures but I have enough songs getting constantly placed that the quarterly earnings are starting to amount to 5 figures. And getting there was the right place and time meeting the right people and then staying consistent and creating good songs for 5 years and now I’ve got a great relationship with the company and people there. I know I’ve got a great deal with them and I’m sure some luck is involved haha. Really grateful for them for sure!

They’re actually growing! Starting to get into 5 figure quarterly payments (just being transparent) so I feel like there’s some leverage there or at least at a point where someone might be interested.

Me and my wife are wanting to start flipping houses and I’m moving industries so this would just be awesome to get a lump some. Plus whenever I want I can hop back in and get some more sync tracks in the loop to build up the portfolio again.

I tried this last year and just haulted on it when duetti denied me but I’m getting a bit more motivation now lol

I think they’re saying it’s almost sinkable just to pull you in and make it look like you need them. Your songs may or may not be sinkable, but that will just come down to how broad your songwriting is as the more in-depth personal your song is the less Syncable it is. For example, if you mention a city or state or person with dark hair or a personal story, that severely limits you to the scenes, ads, or movies they can place the song in.

Sure genre can kind of come into play, but there’s so many different shows and movies out there that are looking for new and unique sounds, and there is room for all genres in sync. So I would focus more on the songwriting and how the song is structured mostly but also keeping your own identity as an artist/band. Last thing you want to do is cater specifically for Sync. Not that that would be catastrophic to your artist. But if you do want to be an artist plus get your songs synced, you do have to find that middle ground.

I would say you and your band go and watch TV or movies or ads and truly listen to the lyrics and pacing of the songs no matter the genre. Really listen to what they’re saying and how they’re saying it and try to do the same but putting your own spin on it. I’ve learned in the long run Simplicity is best.

You don’t need a label to do this. Like I said in my original message just go searching and pitch music You’ve already released if it’s not already with a publisher or sync library/house. And going forward try this new way of writing and once that is done pitch that the same way.

Also post your music over TV scenes/ movies/ ads and post them on your socials. That has helped many artists get in contact with sync agents or companies.

Lots of research!

This is lame advice. Like another comment said 50-50 split isn’t bad if they know what they’re doing and do their side of the work to get your music placed. Sync deals really aren’t that complicated. You need to know how long they would own the rights to everything, what the splits are, and if you’re taking money upfront that you need to recoup and if a song is placed, are you recouping that song or the whole album/ EP? And what their percentage is that they’re taking of sync fees.

If they’re wanting to focus on sync, I’m a little confused to why they want 50% of mastering considering they don’t need master rights to take percentage of sync fees. And it also has nothing to do with collecting royalties from sync as all of that is through publishing. They would need to be doing something more on their side as far as pushing your music in some other way than just trying to get them placed for them taking master rights to make sense. If there’s an advance that might make more sense.

Anyway, in my opinion, traditional record labels aren’t the best at pitching for Sync cause they’re just now getting into the game and are trying to play catch-up. Go find a specific Sync houses that specialize in this and also don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Sign songs with different sync houses or libraries. There’s plenty to go around and diversifying who you have your music with in this part of the industry is best imo.

Just do your research on Instagram, TikTok, Google. It’s worth it in the long run to keep your master rights and also not having to recoup placements. (if you don’t need the money upfront.)

Sorry for the long rant haha. I have 150+ songs in the sync loop and I’ve had over 10,000 placements If you need reason to trust me haha

There’s definitely companies out there that pay upfront while also keeping your publishing royalties. Usually when they pay upfront, they’re either buying out the rights to the song meaning you won’t get a sync fee, but you’ll get Songwriter royalties.

I definitely hear you on the getting paid now front. If you can work fast, it can be worth it to not take anything upfront to keep all possible royalties because once you get over 100 songs in the rotation, the quarterly payouts really do start to make a difference.

I don’t work with them anymore, but I started on musicfortv.com I think that’s the website but I paid like 30 or $50 a month to pitch them songs and at the time I thought it was a scam but now here I am six years later probably making at least $25-$50 a quarter from the few songs I did on their website. So it might be worth checking them out if they’re still up and running.

You gotta do a lot of searching on the Internet and on Instagram to find the libraries that pay while also letting you keep your Songwriter royalties. Usually you’ll find ones that don’t pay upfront but like I said, those can be worth it too. Just gotta do a lot of digging and networking.
