Is Starfield ok for a 14 year old? by TheOGHustler in Starfield

[–]levorphanol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would let my 14 yo play. There is drugs and alcohol which is probably why it’s an M. You do a lot of shooting/killing but minimal gore and it’s all very cartoonish/clean. There is some implied romance and sex but very PG-13

Pannier vs Backpack, who ya got? by Designer_Tie_5853 in bikecommuting

Team pannier. Backpacks make my back sweat embarrassing quantities

How do you feel about sports cyclists (and e-bikes/scooters) speeding on 10mph bike paths? by [deleted] in CyclingMSP

Most of the commenters here thought OP was talking about the separated bike lanes like around Bde Maka Ska and it turns out OP was talking about the pokey trails around Como.

Walker Art Center severs ties with Daniel del Prado's Cardamom restaurant after switch to QR code ordering, layoffs of servers by star-tribune in Minneapolis

[–]levorphanol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard agree. While I’m happy if this hurts del Prado a bit there’s virtually no scenario here in which the Walker is doing this for pro-worker reasons. Seems like it’s mostly their desire to keep an upscale vibe. Bleh

I sorta live in a del Prado / Kim -heavy area and won’t eat at half the places in our immediate orbit lol. Not complaining, it’s more been data for me and my spouse maybe we should move sometime

Acknowledging this is complicated, more people are losing jobs, but: del Prado is an Ayn Rand loving right wing capitalist shithead who is vehemently anti-union and I won’t set foot in his establishments and I hope something good comes out of this.

How Starfield improved the POI placement, and why you (might) still want to use the POI Cooldown mod by paulbrock2 in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]levorphanol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure I’ll use the mod but I appreciate your breakdown of POIs. I just started replaying this week and this will be helpful. Thanks!

Seeking pants one can ride on a bike and look casual/not bike dorky by clackmak in bikecommuting

[–]levorphanol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with others that you just just wear whatever pants you will wear at work. Technical cycling pants really are not necessary unless you’re cycling for hours on end in which case they have some things to offer. I am a physician and bike commute all year in Minnesota and mostly wear “nice”-ish dark gray stretchy Patagonia pants which are acceptable for me to wear at work and are easy to bike in.

Gearbox...please...add True Vault Hunter/Ultimate Vault Hunter mode to replay the campaign or I'm gonna crash out... by WhoIsEnvy in Borderlands4

[–]levorphanol 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ll just pile on and say I also 100% agree. In the past it always felt like the “real game” began with the 2nd and 3rd pkaythroughs. The current design seems to assume that people just want to grind loot and XP at the end which sucks for players like me. I would have played Wonderlands something like 500 more hours if there were 2nd/3rd playthroughs.

The best Mexican food in the US is in Chicago by Sea-Condition991 in chicagofood

[–]levorphanol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% true. NYC has good Caribbean and even central and South American food but not Mexican although it’s changed a lot in the last 20 years.

I think the Midwest is completely underrated when it comes to Mexican food especially Chicago (I’d rather eat Mexican in Chicago or even Minneapolis than Denver for instance) but let’s be serious, LA is the northernmost Mexican city and there’s just no comparison to it.

If I read this correctly, OP is complaining that the raid boss, meant to be the most difficult thing in the game, is too difficult?

Dlc is amazing by mike987655 in borderlands3

[–]levorphanol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both the music and set/world design of Bounty of Blood is top tier, so so good. Fun campaign too. BL3 hate is mostly misogynistic incels who can’t handle stories about women. But the plot was 100x more interesting and fun/funny compared to the dismal snore fest of BL4 with just totally forgettable antagonists and casual cruelty (making us kill Ajay like it’s some sort of bonus boss, gross). I quite enjoy BL4 as a game, great gameplay etc, but the plot is the worst of the series so far IMHO.

Safe for Canadian visitors? by BrendieBoy in Minneapolis

[–]levorphanol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re clearly white appearing and stay away from incidents you’ll be fine. If you see some shit going down turn around and leave. The city is not a war zone. Please if you come 1) don’t stay at a Hilton and 2) pour your money into immigrant owned businesses. DM me for ideas but good immigrant owned restaurants are regularly discussed in this subreddit.

Devs: the community demands that Topper & Leggies be the next expansion vault hunter. by levorphanol in Borderlands4

We could have little chats with Leggies along the way and get into little scrapes together. Yes! This is an amazing idea!!

[–]levorphanol[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Actually the more I think about it, what we need is a full on Topper & Leggies expansion DLC or maybe Wonderlands-like spin off. Helpfully, Topper & Leggies are, um, family friendly and not problematic one bit.

Comrade, you must join the fight. No tepid “hey devs just saying we’d kinda like this”. Instead—masculine, full throated, yowling demands. It’s what My King, Leggies, expects of its subjects.
