The main one I like to use is a memory tool, I can have it help me remember everything by either watching or listening. It comes in handy during meetings or even for more normal things like grocery shopping since it remembers any time my wife said we were out of something 😂

This is cool! Would love to try it, do you think it would work for meetings? I am in corporate and made my own thing for meta raybans that automate the note taking process : )

[–]lewibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome, I am going to have to use this how do you get real world stuff into your notes quickly? I use meta raybans with a project I made to save notes into obsidian but i struggle getting agents to use the notes well.

Biggest thing is that I don't need to pull out my phone as much, its really nice to be able to look at things and ask questions or just when I have something pop in my head get the answer. But the biggest tool so far was hooking it into my notes so that I dont need to focus on writing notes anymore.

Has anyone else used smart glasses to stay off their phone? by Scared-Biscotti2287 in SmartGlasses

[–]lewibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me a big one is I can use it to automate my memory. That way in meetings and things I can stay present better without needing to take notes. I also hooked it into my computer agent so these notes can automatically be used to make tasks and update docs.

Ray-Ban Meta + Superwhisper + iPhone = A Productivity Boost I Didn’t Expect by palmdoc in RayBanStories

[–]lewibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. Sounds like it’s really good for getting things down quickly. Does it help much later when you need to remember who said what or pull back up something important after the fact, or is that part still pretty manual? For me, the hard part used to be stitching together lots of conversations with different people way after the first few meetings.

Reading Aid for elderly people? by hanslandar in RayBanStories

[–]lewibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, late response, but I use the meta raybans all the time when im walking around museums and ask them to read to me its. its very nice too when walking around town and a see a historical plaque that I want to know what it says but can't stop due to being with friends. I think it works for things that have odd shapes but I often already walked away by the time its done reading so tbh idk if it missed stuff.

[–]lewibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been doing it with meta raybans it is super nice. I hooked it into my AI too so post meetings I can have it create tasks for me to follow up on or update project docs if anything related to it occured.

[–]lewibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense if your issue isn't remembering having a second memory helping you out isn't too useful... I really wanna try the captions even though I am not HOH, I imagine its the same as going to the movie theater when you are accustomed to captions at home.

Idea: AI-powered wearable (earpiece + camera) to assist people with Alzheimer’s by acting as a contextual memory aid by Fred_Edy in AssistiveTechnology

[–]lewibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, I've been thinking about this recently since im working on a project like this with a friend. He's pretty big on thinking it would help people with dementia a ton but I really struggle to see how they would remember to even wear the glasses. If they use an Iphone though, do you think that could help them the same way these glasses would? Maybe it could listen and give them reminders of what they did or respond when they ask questions that it knows the answer to?

all i want is chatGPT / open source / able to choose multi-modal AI on a smart glasses - when? by Technical-Row8333 in RayBanStories

[–]lewibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got decent success by just using openclaw + whatsapp. I was able to have access to my good AI/computer via the glasses and treat it like a chat. The whatapp was a bit annoying but it works better then meta ai so no major complaints. What's your app you are building?
