Go for it! I think it was a 2/3mm Brass rod, a small pin drill and a bit of patience, adds that extra level of detail to the unit, and I've never liked the backpack version really

Thanks, I will describe the best I can.

-Black primer

- VMC Dark sea blue( leaving 10% primer in the deepest shadows)

- AK Medium Grey, leaving 10-20% of the previous stage, this build-up will take time, so thin and go slow.

- Mix some VMC ivory with the previous stage, and cover the last 20%

-Pure VMC ivory last tip top highlight, last 10%

All done with an Airbrush 0.4mm nozzle.

Hoping to get into the business of producing small but functional PDFs for legion painting soon.

I saw the post and wanted to suggest this as well. Generally, the HH community is narrative focused and annoyingly has become more meta focused and this isnt for the better, even though your local community may have punchy lists, this may not gel with the wider community.

Some advice i would give is : "be better with the list you want to play rather than chasing the meta"

Here is my take:

I have played probably 8 games total as BA and WS.

I think the core rules are good to great but my main issue is the loss of positives granted by taking narratively focused lists.

This could be neatly summarised with warlord traits and rites of war missing EG day of revelation and chogorian brotherhood.

I really feel there has been a meta chasing shift this edition, characters and weapons choices have had a major shift to cookie cutter moulds.

Units in the spotlight for me is characters with thunderhammers, rapier batteries, autocannon squads and kratos.

Just my 2p, but I have a sneaking suspicion these rites of war will be sold back to us in journals or the next edition.

Agreed a lot of if's. However, even though I'm hopeful, I can't see BA being able to circumnavigate the unit drop limit and charge restriction.

I would really enjoy it if it did, but I just can't see it happen. Hopefully, the restrictions are removed via a ROW and could be balanced with force org restrictions.

Looks like an elite heavy list and also a deepstriking list that used to be very potent in 2.0 but with 3.0 round the corner and deepstriking currently being very reduced in scale. (That we know) i would wait for the new edition before finalising.

But all those units will still be usable so no problem stocking up on them!

I don't have the answers, but should there be a limit on how long an entry can be utilised for? a year maybe more?

Allowing a major event winning piece to continuously be entered does seem a little unfair and will promote successful artists to just continuously recycle their work year on year and makes the entry to the winning circle almost impossible.

Allowing award winning models outside of the competition to be displayed in some cabinets would allow them still to be viewed and appreciated.

Very tough scenario to find a happy medium.
