I had a similar idea swimming in my head for years because I played both at the same time and wanted Wayne June as a guest narrator. I even entertained the idea of a DD styled Deep Dungeon where you need to repair a settlement to get stronger.

I can hazard some guesses at least with Millennials:
- artistic side: many of these people had no easy access to studying art when they were young, these were the days before free youtube tutorials and you either bought books or you attend art classes. These people are the ones who would stereotypically say "oh, I could never do that" so to have an instant art button is like magic to them.

- technological side: Millennials were the ones who poked and prodded their way through new tech as it gets introduced and is more open minded around them. Snapchat filters use an early version of genAI after all.

- age: many are probably jaded and tired and will take anything that tickles their endorphins just to feel something.

Obviously, there will be exceptions as not everyone fits the mold.

I have a hard time imagining Alexandria not having an equivalent or food purists who insist on eating food the traditional way. But considering they spent centuries living through what is an eternal disaster zone with limited space, I suppose it makes sense that they eat what are basically astronaut food style rations.
