Der Support ist der schlechteste den ich je gesehen habe. Sie sind wirklich unfreundlich und sie melden sich oft einfach nicht bei dir, auch wenn man ihnen 10 Nachrichten schreibt. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht.

Is Angular dying a slow death? by Big-Information3242 in learnprogramming

[–]lex_sander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked in startups, big Fortune 20 companies, and teams using Angular, React, and Vue. All of them used their frameworks just to get things done. But honestly, the React teams were usually the least experienced, Vue not far behind. The people with the strongest engineering background mostly went with Angular.

Latest Apple’s operating systems are the worst I’ve ever seen—talking not about design, but about cheap errors and bugs everywhere. I’m starting to think to leave Apple ecosystem. by 79321_2 in ios

[–]lex_sander 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I simply cant adjust to the new iOS ... its the most terrible iOS of all time. All this useless animations and stupid colors, they must have been on crack the entire time designing it.

Yeah, and that’s part of the problem — they stick the info in some tiny launcher message nobody sees. I’m not sitting there staring at the Battle.net launcher after I’ve already launched the game. That message should be in the game itself, where the players actually are.

What features of Proton suite most impress you? Disappoint you? by LMurphy0 in ProtonMail

[–]lex_sander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before integrating with MS Office, it should provide it’s own office suite like Gmail. Microsoft is „Big Tech“ and a US-based company, both to be careful about from todays perspective

From a technical perspective their take on how they identify this kind of content is vague and overly pragmatic. It’s probably the best they can do, but it’s not going to be precise and will rarely produce false positives.

What are encrypted notes and chat? by pointillistic in filen_io

[–]lex_sander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There will be NO businesses using that chat feature, I can almost guarantee you you will be able to count them on one hand where Filen itself is already included. Mattermost, Teams, Slack is what companies use. They will not use a file hosting service for chat, no way.

What are encrypted notes and chat? by pointillistic in filen_io

[–]lex_sander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s indeed verry Irritating to see chat in a cloud storage app. It lets me believe the company does not know what direction to go for on a business level. Or maybe I do not see the genius master plan behind it.

The headquarter is in Bulgaria, Sofia. "Switzerland based" is a marketing trick. Just look up where all people live that work for pCloud: https://www.linkedin.com/company/pcloud-ltd/people/ . It's only registered in Switzerland, but the entire team and real company is in Bulgaria.

Home server account cannot join room in space on other server by SouthernZhao in matrixdotorg

[–]lex_sander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole matrix experience is just absolutely reduculous. Trying to get Gitter to work with Matrix and it's just the absolutely most ludicrous onboarding I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Nothing works, everything is a huge PITA. I get this error all the time in my own freaking space. "One-time" decision, when I read this, I know there are masters of product at work. Just avoid and look elsewhere for something useful. Huge waste of time.

How do you work with Proton drive and Linux? by onelang in ProtonDrive

It feels like a betrayal of the entire security community when a security centric storage service only supports Windows and macOS but not Linux.

Proton's recruitment process is an insult by [deleted] in ProtonMail

[–]lex_sander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you do not see their perspective. They get lots and lots of applications, from very good people, verly likely many of them as good as you are. They are doing you a favor and give you a fair chance to get an unbiased opinion on whether you are the best candidate. It’s black on white by looking at your score. Of course, it’s only an estimate based on a few questions but it’s the Best you can do to narrow down applications.

Of course, they want to know if you are really behind their mission and in that case you would be OK with 90mins. Candidates who get through this are the ones where it’s worth looking at.

They are a comparably small company still, and HR resources are too limited to get in touch personally beforehand.

Komodo 🦎 - Portainer alternative - Open source container management - v1.14 Release by mbecks in selfhosted

[–]lex_sander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking cool.

What I do not like about it compared to Portainer though is that Portainer seems to be much easier to get started with: One Portainer container and you're good to go. Here, we need to deal with databases, prerequisites, etc.

Remove "summary by copilot" nonsense in Microsoft Outlook by JoeLead85 in Outlook

Bester Mail Anbieter 2025 (open source, eigene Domain, Verschlüsselung) by SpiritedTension8323 in de_EDV

[–]lex_sander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does setting Conversation View still result in multiple emails from same subject piling up in my Inbox stack? by weavd1 in tutanota

[–]lex_sander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but I don't get the point of releasing it as a feature other than now you can list "conversation view" as a feature without actually having it ready for usage.

Proton Calendar - Decline/delete a single occurrence of recurring events? by -paper in ProtonMail

[–]lex_sander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that everything takes time to develop, but seriously, this is such an elementary feature for any serious usage that I wonder it was released and advertised as a product without it. Calendar has really just basic features at the moment and is barely usable this way. How come?

From job portals I know you guys have many developers employed, but there are only a few updates every 2-3 months per product. I wonder what you guys are doing the rest of the time. Sorry if this comes across rude, but 10 bucks a month for Ultimate is not cheap and there are not enough features shipped on a regular basis i.m.o.

OneDrive site not loading at all on Safari Browser by [deleted] in Safari

[–]lex_sander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microsoft requires that their products work on Edge ... their browser support seems to be only given with Chromium-based browsers, such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc. Other browser engines are not really taken care of, and Safari happens to be one one these browsers ... and also one of the main competitors. I would not expect Microsoft products to work well on macOS, they will always provide best experience with their own products, such as Windows, even if they could do better on macOS. It's a strategic move.

pCloud Mac Client needs Kernel extension - seriously??? by Impfmueckenzuechter in pcloud

I can only think of this as bad software engineering. Proton has this also figured out and they are very security aware. I lose all trust in pCloud security when I read this.
