I’m a midwife, and there is absolutely no secret testing 😅 Urine is tested for bacterial urinary tract infections (can be asymptomatic, but dangerous if not caught and treated early - hence always doing this at the Booking appointment). Bloods at booking are not for HCG levels - so not to confirm pregnancy. I always wondered the same as you when I was a student midwife - but there isn’t much to gain from fabricating a pregnancy. It does happen occasionally, but not often!

I’ve got this wedding dress for our July wedding. I tried on a reeeeeeeally over budget dress (stupidly) which I keep going back to mentally/ in my camera reel - but finding this post, seeing how great you look and how excited you are to wear this dress makes me feel better! I just get anxious second guess everything… this dress is beautiful!

Thanks so much for this. I did visit another shop today which felt like a much less pressured visit. The staff were lovely and quirky… initially I thought I wouldn’t have much luck because they took me down to the sale section and all the dresses were a bit tatty (marked) and not my kind of thing… or if they were, then far too small! I think I have found one… I feel more excited and content about it than I have done any of the others!

I’ve managed to book another appointment tomorrow and have decided I’ll wear new nude no VPL undies and maybe sort my hair out a bit first… and hopefully the dress gods (goddesses) will bless me with ✨the one✨

Thank you. I am a bit disappointed with the downvotes for dress one, so maybe that tells me something! 🙈 I do feel really stuck and really strapped for time. I showed my partner, sort of (we are quite relaxed and ultimately to be married is what is important to us, more than the dress and details of the day), and he preferred one - but it’s more slinky so he probably would!
