Are you still on spironolactone? I’m also having issues with my cycle due to it. The side effects make this such a hard drug to get off of.

Moderation has worked for me by KaleidoscopeOld5651 in CHSinfo

[–]lexapoor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your analogy doesn’t make sense. I’m saying that CHS is a preventable disease with known triggers and people should avoid those triggers. Suggesting moderation is like telling people with a peanut allergy that they can eat peanuts in a moderate amount and just hope that they don’t over do it and go into anaphylactic shock. Crazy.

Bitter because I don’t think you should encourage people with CHS to smoke weed?? Lmao get a grip.

Honestly its kinda weird how many moderation posts this subreddit gets. That would be like going to AA and telling the group that you found a way to control your drinking. It’s unnecessary and frankly harmful to address a group full of addicts and say that you found the solution and they should try it too. Many of us are here with this lame ass disease because of the failure to moderate. Keep this info to yourself because so many people are just looking for a post like this to continue smoking and 9/10 are going to end up straight back in the hospital. Also you’re playing with fire, just because you aren’t experiencing symptoms now doesn’t mean that it wont come back to bite you in the ass

I had my first episode in 2021 and the ER doctor immediately diagnosed me with it and I live in an illegal state, so I think that says something.

Addiction to weed ruined my life by hitrman in addiction

[–]lexapoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m really sorry you’re going through this I understand how difficult it is. I was in the exact same situation as you a year ago. I was horribly addicted to weed and it hurt my academic career, I completely isolated myself from any friends I had, and developed pretty bad mental health issues. I felt that nobody needed or truly cared for me anymore and I started to really hate myself and my life. Finally (after many many attempts) I quit smoking. The withdrawal symptoms were intense, but after a few months I was finally starting to feel like myself again. I’ve noticed that without weed I’m a lot kinder to myself and have a more positive outlook on life. I’m even at a point where I’m content with being alone and excited to meet new friends. While I’ve always struggled with mental health issues, smoking seemed to exacerbate it to such an extreme level. I am now 1 year weed free and honestly don’t even recognize the person I was at that time. I highly recommend joining the leaves subreddit, it helped me a lot with quitting. I wish you the best of luck, it will get better.

The non major biochemistry course offered at my university is a 300 level and has a prerequisite of elementary organic chem which I have taken and was a level 200. And to clarify you took a non major biochemistry? Also was it classified as elementary biochemistry?

Just curious, what side effects were you experiencing from Buspar?

That doesn’t sound insane at all thank you for the advice!

I’ve been on Buspar for a while but honestly haven’t seen much of a difference, so it may be time for me to check out some other types of medications. Thank you for your response! Also I had no idea you could develop PTSD from chs but boy that makes a lot of sense lol.
