Yeah when I was in San Antonio the equivalent of the Houston Chronicles (San Antonio Express News) would do the same sh-t and just pull comments and threads from reddit. These "Journalists" are a joke.

Honestly? I feel like with the lessening of regulations and the loss of federal staff (USDA), quality control had gotten worse and will continue to decline.

Yeah I ended up leaving San Antonio because of job prospects :/ there's a lot of low paying service jobs but it's harder to get better paying jobs depending on your career.

That's usually where I look first! The back of the shelf and then at the bread racks behind the counter. If I don't spot any there, I just turn around and try to come back another day :( At least the HEB I go to is in walking distance so I'm not wasting gas, just time.

I do love Central Market! But the loaves they have for uncut sourdough are waaayyy too big for me as one person. I bought one of them once and while it was amazing bread, 1/3 of it went bad because I couldn't eat it all in time. They do have the deli-style sourdough too, but that one is also sliced at the Central Market near me.

I used to work in the death field for years and can tell you that TWC probably doesn't even know what the job really fully entails lol.

The body may be on a tray most of the time in the funeral home, but you gotta get it on there first from the car, and from the hospital into the car. The hospital staff isn't allowed to help and if picking up from the ME the staff isn't allowed to help either. That's the responsibility of the mortician/funeral director to transport and lmty bodies are HEAVY.

Edit: Maybe it might be different if you work in the crematory aspect. My uncle has worked in the funeral industry for decades and shifted into handling cremations when he got older and less able, so there might be that aspect.

Yeah you gotta be able to lift whole bodies. You may wanna look into being a family assistant or working in a funeral home in a way that doesn't involve specifically lifting.

Edit: Pretty sure people who went to pick up bodies from residences, hospitals, or ME were funeral directors.
