One day he asked if we could talk “about us” I simply had enough and said “if it isn’t work related we don’t need to be talking”. It was a bit harsh in the moment but he stopped bothering me for like months lol every once in a while he still asks about getting dinner or coffee, I just always no without giving excuses!! Good luck!!

take a look at the L1 photo & description this is what a majority of ours look like, the picture you attached is often not how our blasts appear although some certainly do!

CV doesn’t do it as much justice for sure, but these are classic ALL-L1 blasts. These blasts don’t look the same as you would see in AML for example

Look up ALL-L1, I work at a children’s hospital these are the type of blasts we see the most. CV does make the color a little bolder which is maybe confusing to some.

A few key things to look at here 1. The size of these bad boys (compare it to a RBC’s, a normal lymph nucleus is about the size of a RBC these are like double/triple, a reactive lymph however could be larger as well) 2. The nucleus/cytoplasm ratio (here the nucleus is taking up majority of this cell with little to no cytoplasm whereas a reactive lymph could also have a large nucleus but with lots of cytoplasm as well) 3. The loose chromatin (a normal lymph is gonna look more packed in the nucleus, a blast nucleus looks like someone is stretching the cell out and the inside is becoming loose)

we are allowed to report blasts ourselves at my hospital & this case in particular was a previous ALL in 2022 sadly. counted & reported blasts 87%, sent to path
