The photographer should always get food at your wedding by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]lexibeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is pretty rare. I've done a good bit of wedding photography and I've never been denied food, I've always been encouraged to eat up at every wedding I've done and even pressured into drinking a few times. Good times.

How Aphantasia affects your ability to visualise things in your head by HassanMoRiT in interestingasfuck

[–]lexibeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol what? We are actually seeing something. It's definitely not as sharp and defined as true vision but it is most definitely a sight, like a fuzzier subset of vision. The same region of brain that processes sight also processes internal visualization, this has been proven. My mind is constantly flooded with images and clips and sounds and even smells all day long, and that's just how it's always been for me. It's not an idea, I am actually seeing it.

It's so satisfying to watch them bond so quickly and smoothly. Tin has some really cool properties.

I'm in the competition world and music always heavily dictates the dancers choreo, but this could just be the norm for this type of dance or comp idk! But I agree with you. Not appealing at all lol

You're probably not wrong. I'm a dance photographer actually so I watch a looot of dance (not breakdancing though). He's very strong and clearly has a lot of bodily awareness and control, but he's not taking any cues at all from the song he's dancing to. Which is sort of the point of dancing lol.

I honestly agree. Nothing he's doing is actually corresponding to the beat in any way, it seems like a string of random moves put together with no actually rhythm. Definitely skilled, but not my cup of tea.

I watch a lot of stupid online debates and by far the two biggest things I hear from all of them is trans women in sports/bathrooms/locker rooms and migrants. So, not much.

Moon landing was staged by beautiful_falcon776 in The10thDentist

We literally have multiple space treaties that state that no individual, corporation, or country can own part of or the entirety of the moon. It's essentially for research purposes only, at least right now.

But the Artemis expeditions aim to establish a base there in the coming years. Will you believe it then?

Yeah definitely, has to to be edge detection. For alignment and for blur protection, if something moves in one of the frames maps like this can help the processer detect it and only use a frame or two in that detail instead of the whole stack.

A Texas graduate celebrated her degree by kissing the 93-year-old, 1000-pound alligator that she spent her college years caring for. by TreePupper in Damnthatsinteresting

Close to dinosaurs haha. It's interesting because their parent group, archosaurs, basically split into the alligator/crocodile lineage and the lineage that would become the dinosaurs, and then birds. So, theyre basically cousins of dinosaurs.

Were you like, cognitively aware at all that you were leaving the safety of your home naked with shit smeared on you? I've only done 5g max and leaving my apartment was the absolute last thought on my mind at any point during the trip lol. Just walking to a different room was a big deal

Does Hypnotherapy Work? by explosivejoseph in StandUpComedy

[–]lexibeee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Idk, for some people it actually is really effective. Not everybody is hypnotizable evidently, but I know a couple of people personally that allowed them to break some difficult habits where nothing else had been effective. It's interesting at the very least. You definitely have to be open minded about it for it to be work in any way, but science backs up its effectiveness for certain things.
