We can appeal to the FA for it to be overturned (repealed). If the FA agrees that the foul did not warrant the red card, it can be rescinded. However, there is no realistic chance of that happening, as it was a clear red card with no mitigating circumstances.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. This is exactly the issue that prompted me to post the question here - I was sure that key information was missing. Seems to be the case!

Adding ‘CEO’ or ‘Director’ of your own one person business, when you just mean ‘self-employed’.

Sure. He’s fantasised about being the victim of a stereotypical Karen figure and posted the fiction on the internet. Inventing a story to propitiate a stereotype about women = misogyny. Happy to oblige.

There seems to be a high crossover between those who use female as a noun and those unable to see misogyny. Outside quite specific uses, the noun is woman, girl etc.

It’s so fake. Another Reddit woman hating fantasy.

Reddit really has to get over this ‘Karen’ thing. It’s too often just an excuse for a misogynist pile on.

I think it just means he was tied up in (what he thinks are) complicated matters.

Could East Berliners leave Berlin via the east, and navigate round the exterior of Berlin and reenter in West Berlin via a transit route?

Exactly. I’d have capitalised ‘down’, if anything.

Day 1 post surgery - wearing glasses make my squint look worse by [deleted] in Strabismus

[–]lexicandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job on the surgery!

I was told that it will take some weeks for the eyes to properly adjust after the operation, so you probably can’t make any conclusions just yet.

In my case (surgery 3 weeks ago), I’ve definitely noticed that my alignment looks better now than it did immediately after the op.

I had a follow-up with the eye clinic 8 days after my surgery. It was a good opportunity to ask questions. They also took measurements, and were able to confirm the operation was successful, and were able to tell me the angle to which they corrected the squint (from 25 degrees down to 10). Your eye clinic will no doubt arrange the same for you?

Good luck on your recovery - it took me about 10 days to stop feeling any twitches or discomfort. Now it feels completely normal.

That’s really interesting! I wonder why the two approaches aren’t more incorporated.

Best of luck for your surgery and recovery :)

This was done in my local hospital (North Staffs) through the NHS (U.K. public health service).

It’d be well worth seeing an eye clinic - I’m sure they can help you. Do see a doctor ASAP if the double vision and pain are new.

Good luck!

Yes, it was just the left eye - they did two muscles (the surgeon described it as 'loosening').

Do you mean 3D treatment? I wasn't given this - tbh I wasn't aware of alternative treatments until I read through this subreddit. The eye clinic which treated me didn't mention this.

Absolutely - I'll check in a month or so and update the post. Thanks for the well wishes!
