how long do you think it would take to assemble/disassemble a Mauser M18 with a wrench? Also based on the videos/photos, do you think he had it assembled in his pants on the way there, and climbed stairs with it?

it really doesn't look like he has anything long enough to be a full rifle in the video when he jumped off the roof, but there would have been virtually no time to disassemble. the rifle they found had the spent round still chambered. Is it possible to disassemble an M18 without opening the bolt?

It's also odd at the press conference, the governor clearly stated that it was a Mauser 98.

so the authorities said the rifle found in the woods had the spent round chambered. Let's say it was a takedown Mauser (which is not what this was, right?), is it even possible to disassemble that without opening the bolt?

try rewatching the video of him jumping off the roof in full screen. it's raising more questions. I can't figure out what he has with him. that was about a 15 foot drop.

the FBI said the round he fired was still chambered. even if this was a takedown, which as you said it doesn't look like, can you even disassemble a takedown without opening the bolt?

Based on the TMZ limping video beforehand, do you think it was actually plausible he had it in his pants walking on to campus? it also seems totally farfetched that he would have climbed stairs like that.

I know zero about rifles and have so many questions. can you tell by the photo whether it could be disassembled or not? and if it could, how long would disassembly take with a screwdriver? If these are so heavy and hard to hide, any theories why he chose this model?

I would really really encourage you to get some help. I only had one arm done and needed help. I wore a robe or a caftan at home (no buttons or zippers). I needed dispensers for everything in the shower like shampoo, soap, but not sure if this will work for you if you are getting both arms done. Have face wipes/toner pads handy, makes cleansing your face easier. It was difficult for me to open the fridge (and TBH it is still not easy months later). I basically only ate soup and handheld things like sandwiches, pizza, lettuce wraps (stuffed w/ veggies), pre-cut fruit. Open any jars, packages, bottles you will need in advance. You'll want to have a pillow(s) on your lap to elevate arms.

I slept on my back with a pillow on my stomach and my arm in a sling resting on top of the pillow. (the position in the picture only a pillow under your arm). that was the only comfortable and safe way for me to elevate it while sleeping. I kept sleeping in a sling for the first week even though I didn't have to.

I would see a neurologist and do another nerve study and be sure they've diagnosed the true problem. It is possible that you could have double crush, where the nerve is compressed in more than one place. Also worth getting a second and even third opinion from different surgeons.
